Young Women in Excellence & Thanksgiving

MJ had her Young Women in Excellence night. She did a fabulous job! She was completely nervous and stressed out that she had to talk to everyone first before showing her talent. But she did great. She sang a song with her best friends, and then she played/sang Silent Night on the guitar with me. She is growing into a beautiful young woman and I can't believe how out of her shell she has come. Playing in front of others is huge and I'm so proud of her. 

 I didn't get many pictures of Thanksgiving, sorry. The kids LOVED being at grandma's and grandpa's home though. We helped grandma cook, eat yummy food, went swimming at the rec. center, and even took the Em-A-Nator to the emergency room with a spit open head. She got three stitches and was great. She was running, and when she fell she hit something that was along the wall. It sliced her open good. She did so good at the hospital with the needles and everything. She whimpered, but otherwise laid very still for the doctors. She was great. One night we put on face masks that May brought. Even Buddy Boy enjoyed doing it with the girls. Hehe. We had a great Thanksgiving break. It was fun to see my sisters, and hopefully at Christmas break I'll see my brothers. 

Cedar City Temple

We were able to go down to the Cedar City Temple Open House in November. We have some friends who just barely moved there and they let us stay with them. The temple was gorgeous, and seeing our friends was awesome. The temple wait was about two hours by the time we got there but the kids didn't even care. They were having so much fun playing with each other. They played for two days nonstop with each other. We are going to try to do cousin swap things in the summer so maybe they can come and stay for awhile with us and vice-verse. After the temple we went to eat, and then we drove up to a look out point. It was so beautiful being up there at sunset. It was freezing, but beautiful. 

On our way home we stopped at Cove Fort. Now, we have driven past Cove Fort numerous times! We have even stopped at the gas station for a potty break. But we have never taken the time to tour the Fort. I'm so grateful we did this day. The history was magnificent, and the kids loved it. We had so much fun looking at all the rooms, and playing the roller game. It was well worth the stop! 

Seeing old friends, a beautiful temple, and touring Cove Fort were the perfect events for a great weekend!  

November Happenenings

It's hard to believe that the month of November has come, and gone. That was fast. We went to a couple of Aggie games. One was for the men's opening game, and the other for a women's game. I'm glad my kids like going to them! 

This is just one way we clean the house, curling style. :) 

My sister May talked me into a Snapchat account. It's been fun to send funny pictures to a few family members. Isabel has an account too and that has been fun to stay in contact with her. MJ loves it, and even Ms M knows how to do it. Ugh, what did I get myself into. :) 

 This is what happens when you get into a chip war with mom. You loose with chips underneath your glasses. Hehe. 

 I love when my children all hang out together.

I can't believe Ms M fell asleep like this with the ball balanced on her head. Pretty impressive!

RB and I played in a beginners league Pickleball night. We would go and play once a week. The last day they had a tournament of sorts and RB and I tied for first place. We got a Pickleball bag, and this sweet licence plate holder. We had a great time and can't wait to be play the next nights of Pickleball.
