End of December

Here are two more pictures of the light show that we went to with our friends before Christmas. I got them off MJ's phone.

After Christmas we went to visit my family. Since we were not able to go ice-skating at Thanksgiving we went this time. Lil stayed at Grandmas, but the rest of us had a great time! Em talked and talked about it, then freaked out and started to cry when she saw the skates, and then did great once she calmed down. Ms M and Buddy Boy were pros! They were all over the ice rink all by themselves!

The kids always love Grandmas and Grandpas! Em didn't want to leave.

Ms M lost her first tooth, and Buddy Boy lost his second tooth. Good thing the tooth fairy knew where we were at.

When we got home it was FREEZING in our home. The batteries were dead enough that it would not turn on the heater. So once we got that changed we finally had heat. It took the entire day to heat up the house, but we lived.

Christmas dresses for our last 3 hour church day!

I hope you all have a great New Year!

Christmas

We have some good friends that took our family out to dinner, the holiday light show where the youngest two got to meet Santa, and then to the movies. We saw Spider-Man, and everyone loved it! It was a great night!

The next day RB and I fixed our washer. The drain pipe needed to be emptied and now it is.

The kids played in the little snow that we got.

Yummy new salsa recipe we got from a coworker.

RB's students know him so well. Coke and bacon are gifts he gets a lot and he loves it.

Christmas Eve was full of watching Christmas shows, watching movies on the Nativity, going to watch the city lights with Grandma, eating Chinese, reading books, and opening their Christmas Eve Pj's and books. Then they fell asleep watching a movie all in one room.

Christmas day was great! Everyone got at least one thing that they really wanted! We had a great morning opening presents, and then getting ready for dinner at our home. The family came and we had a yummy dinner and gift exchange. It was a great day to be with family!

Merry Christmas everyone!

December

District art show was in December. Ms M's teacher had everyone in the class do a group project so they all got to go. Ms M was pretty excited to see her art work.

MJ had a choir concert. It was the middle and high school choir groups. It was pretty good. It was hard to hear them at times, but they did great!

Here is MJ with her BFF. They are the only ones who signed up to be entertainment at the blood drive. I'm proud of them for sharing their talents. They sang Christmas songs, and did a fabulous job!

We started a new tradition this year, that I hope we can continue. We went and stayed in a hotel, swam, went shopping, saw the SLC lights, and then went back home. We had an amazing weekend! RB's sister and hubby came with us, along with MJ's BFF. The Em-A-Nator LOVED swimming. She had been asking for a month when we got to go to the show and tell (hotel) and swim. We had a ton of fun!

We watched Miracle on 34th Street.

Swimming.

#LightTheWorld giving vending machines. First, time we did this because last year the line was LONG. This year it was too but we did it anyways because it wasn't dark outside yet. Everybody got to pick one thing they wanted to donate. We donated socks, baby pacifiers, baby bibs, dictionary, mac and cheeses, and a school bag. It was really awesome!

Then the lights and after dinner at the food court (that was CRAZY).

We are hoping to do this trip earlier in Dec. next year and miss some of the holiday concerts and activities. SLC was a ZOO with people, traffic, and cops to direct traffic everywhere! But we still had a good time and I can't wait to do it again next year!
