Jan. has been full of fun in the snow. Having two little shovels has been well worth the cost of $10. The girls (especially MJ) has loved helping daddy shovel. Before church the other day I got video of the girls before daddy made it out there.
We also built up our snow hill, again. Even though it has since been melted again by the rain. However, with a new storm coming in I'm sure we'll get it built up, again. We baby-sat for some friends and while the two littlest ones slept the older ones went outside to play. They had a blast and came in soaked through all their snow clothes.
Yesterday for family night we went hot tubing at Crystal Springs. It was not our best visit for sure. One, the water was luke warm, and it was very crowded. The girls still had a blast swimming though and RB enjoyed the hotter spas. It was worth going and hopefully the next time we go the water will be back to normal warmer temperatures.

Another Dr. Appt.
Today I had another doctor appointment. The doctor was really busy this afternoon and as a result I had to wait for over an hour to see the doctor. I was okay with this but my poor daughters got a little antsy toward the end. The good thing is since I did have to wait so long I was the last one to be there for the day. The doctor was able to explain more about the heart by showing it to me on his own little ultrasound machine. He explained that they could see the muscles in the heart that they were concerned about. He also showed me the white spot that they were looking at. Because of that spot there is a slight increase of a chance that the baby will have downs syndrome. He said that unless I really wanted to I would not need to get my last ultrasound check. After listening to what he had to say and explain about the heart I really do not want to have to take another day off for another ultrasound. Also, like the doctor pointed out unless we were going to do something about it, like termination, then it is not going to change anything by getting this last ultrasound. We still feel good about the pregnancy and know that no matter what the Lord loves us and is looking out for us.

New Years Goals
For FHE tonight we talked about New Year Resolutions. At school MJ made a goal to be able to swim more under water. She said she drew a picture of water up and down with her swimming with goggles on in between them. We then talked about what family goals we could have and how we should write them down. So this is me writing them down so we can see how we are doing with them.
RB: To exercise more; to search and not just read the scriptures
Me: To give RB more hugs; to cook dinner more; to give the girls more choices when they are doing things they shouldn't instead of just getting upset at them; to search and not just read the scriptures; MJ also suggested I drive more and then clarified that I needed to drive faster more often, RB got a kick out of that one
MJ: To swim underwater better; to stop sucking her finger; to exercise with daddy
Lil: To help out around the house
Hope your goals are going well too. Now we are off to get shakes at Mack's. Mmm-mm good.

New Toys & A New Look
MJ and Lil got some Christmas money and we decided to go shopping. Lil couldn't live without her Tangled dress up dress, and MJ absolutely loves her Strawberry Shortcake doll. Then they got gum, and straw cups. Some of their money also went into savings for the next time we go to Disneyland.
Buying the girls a train set for Christmas has been fun for the whole family. We bought some extensions so we could make loops and things. MJ loves being in the lead and gets upset when her sister won't do what she wants her too, but besides that they love playing with it.
The other day I gave RB a hair cut. After MJ wanted her hair cut short. I cut it a little shorter than I wanted but it still looks pretty cute. It is my first major hair cut. MJ loves it so that is all that really matters. I forgot to take a before picture so this is how long the front was before I cut it and then the after pictures.
The new year has been good so far. We have 9am church and are loving it. We all took a nap yesterday and it was NEEDED! It felt so good. Now we are getting back into the routine of things. Have a good one!
