Triathlon & Spots

The end of July brought my triathlon. I just love triathlons! I cut off 30 min. from my time two years ago and I know I can do better. So I'm hoping I can do it again next year. I did get a blister my last three miles of the run and then after I got home I realized I had a nice chaff mark around my arms where my triathlon sleeve was rubbing. That didn't hurt till later though. The first picture of my time says I finished the bike split in 5th place. Hehe. That was fun for a few days until the final times came out and showed the real results. I improved and had fun and that is all that matters.

Oh yea, my back tire got a flat tire in the last mile too. Glad I made it back without damaging my bike or having to run it!

MJ and the Em-A-Nator had Dr. appointments. I made MJ go this year to get her 7th grade shots because I don't know what insurance will be next year and I knew it would be covered this year. Poor Em is not happy being stuck in the Dr. office. Em's head is 45 cm which is 32%, her length is 75 cm which is 18%, and her weight is 10.3 kg which is 72%. She is more like MJ and Lil with her weight, but like Buddy Boy for her height. Then MJ was 78% height and 88% for weight. They both are healthy and doing well though.

So of course about a week or two after the Dr. appt. Em had to break out in spots all over her body. We first thought it was an allergic reaction to tomatoes since she ate about 12 of them that morning. However, two days later they were getting worse and not better. So RB took her to the instacare and found out she had an infection. So with a little medication, and many baths and powdered down the spots cleared up. I'm glad it wasn't anything worse.

Have a great day!

More July

This summer has been full of fun events. The kids are doing a play unplugged program. If they do an activity without electronics then they get a badge and can win prizes later in Sept. Thankfully the events are easy, like play Frisbee, wash the car, ride your bike, bowling, write a letter, and things like that.

Swimming with the new birthday mermaid tail is always fun.

I was very happy that the last game we bowled I got four strikes in a row. Not my highest score ever, but highest is years.

Our poor deck needs to be redone. So we pulled off the wood and sanded them. However, when RB pulled off the house part we found decay. Now we need to get somebody in to help us replace the boards and door. Crumby!

More firework shows with neighbors this time.

Lil's fish land.

Ms. M turned four. She had a great birthday and got her pie. That is her favorite dessert right now.

When the cousins were visiting we had a dance off. Pretty funny to watch the kids dance, but I was probably the worse dancer.

24th fireworks with the family.

This little one is a stink. Her new game is to take my clean dish towels out of the drawer and throw them away. Good thing she is so cute.

We have had some fun RS activities making fruit leather, learning about genealogy, and learning about personal progress. I work with some great ladies!

Summer is all about friends and I'm grateful my children have good ones!
