RB's B-day

Safety Days

Two Fridays ago our school had safety days for the 4th and 5th grades. We got to walk through an ambulance, get in and explore a cop car and cop truck, watch the K-9 dog, learn about construction safety with big machines, learn about electricity safety, eat a popsicle while learning about Wal-Mart safety, and best of all we got to see life flight come in, look in it, and then see it leave at the end. It was a hot afternoon but it was worth it.

We were really busy this Sat. However, after all the hard work of getting all the weeds out of our garden area, we did have some fun. It feels good to finally have that area free of seeds. This week I have started running again. In June I am running in the Sawtooth Mountain Relay Race. So I decided I should probably start training for it. Well I have learned some things this week about myself: 

1) I hate when I itch like crazy!

2) It is getting harder to train with my old body. Slowly I am getting better though. 

3) Running by yourself vs. running with a stroller or double stroller is MUCH easier. 

4) I kind of like running with an ipod. I did it for the first time this week and it's kind of weird. I like it but it will take a while to get used to. 

5) My old cross country shirt that says, "Cross Country is a Mental Sport. We are all Insane" is very true.

B-Day BBQ

RB's B-day is May 23rd. To celebrate we are having a BBQ. It is a bring a salad, dessert, or drink BBQ, and we will provide the meat. RB is also celebrating the last day of school (for him anyways), and a friend of ours is celebrating the end of the dance season. So come and celebrate whatever is happening in your lives with us on Friday May 23rd at 6pm. Hope to see you there!

I LOVE MY PARENTS

My parents came to visit this week. They were here from Wed. to Sun. morning. It was so good having them here visiting. My mom watched the kids for me on Thurs. and Fri. That gave our b-sitter a little break too. We went shopping and played a lot of games. My dad saw we needed a new faucet for our sink and when I came home Thurs. from work it was all done. Plus my mom got up in the middle of the night with Lil so I could sleep. It was great. I love my parents. They are the best. I know mothers day is coming up next weekend, but right now it should be parents day because mine are wonderful. I'm going to miss them.

RB found his game. He was very excited to find it. We played it ALL weekend. The only bad part is he hasn't won yet. So we will probably continue to play it over and over again until he does. Good thing I like the game too. Happy early b-day RB!

Game Geek

For those of you who don't know RB very well he is a game geek. He LOVES games. Playing them, reading about them, and yes buying them. We do have our year supply of games in our closet. So we are set entertainment wise if anything were to happen. Anyways, RB ordered Liars Dice on the net and has been waiting for it to come for the last three days. It came. I put it in his bed as a little joke. Just sleeping away, waiting for him to get home and open it. Happy B-day RB at the end of the month. Have an early b-day gift.
