New Musician

Buddy Boy is our newest musician in the family. He learned quickly and is so dang cute as he tries to listen to the horn. Love this little guy!

Buddy Boy and Relief Society

The bishops wife is completely awesome in our ward. She loves kids and is always stealing little babies from their moms so they can have breaks. Well we have been blessed to have her take Buddy Boy to Relief Society (RS) with her for many months now. This is great since I'm in primary and RB has Elders Quorum duties. I guess after RS this last Sunday RB was told many times how cute Buddy Boy was. During the lesson the teacher said something to the effect of, "you just need to be brave, and speak up." Right on cue Buddy Boy began babbling in a loud voice. I guess he knew how to speak up and wanted to demonstrate for everyone else how it was done. Hehe.

Disneyland Jan. 2012

Last June or July I posted about being a winner for a Disneyland Trip from KSL's facebook page. This last week we used that trip. It included 2 nights in the Grand California Hotel, and 4 park hopper tickets for 3 days. Perfect for us and our girls. (Thanks mom and dad for taking Buddy Boy for us!) We left Friday after work and traveled to Primm, NV. That is a good stopping point and you can get into a hotel room for pretty cheap. Then Sat. we finished our journey to CA and entered the Grand California Hotel. This has been a dream of RB's since he was a kid, so he was loving it. Here are the front doors just to enter the hotel.

The lobby was huge. They had bell hops to help you with your luggage and multiple pools and slides. After checking in we spent the rest of the day swimming, and vegging. The best part about the hotel is the entrance straight into California Adventures. Very nice! With the hotel we also got magic mornings, and a pass that gave us two instant fast passes. Super cool!

The hotel room was like most hotel rooms just nicer.

However, the maid service was very impressive. They send a maid around every night to turn down the beds. On our second night we came back to our beds turned down. Wow, have never had that happen before. I did have to laugh at what they did, by simply folding down the corner of the sheets. The beds were super comfy!

We went to Disneyland on Sun, Tues, and Wed. On Mon. we switched hotels and went swimming again. Disneyland of course was great. It was a little chilly in the morning and nights but the days were great. The park was pretty empty on Tues. and Wed. too. That was great. RB had to wait about 10 min. to get on the good rides, and our longest wait was 20 min. for Toy Story.

Seeing Mickey is a must. The line was short and we practically walked right in.

This was one of MJ's favorite's. She really likes the new Arielle ride and this was her favorite part on the ride because of her hair.

I love MJ in this pic. She is so shy. Cute girl.

The carousels are always a favorite too.

This was one of those pictures that turned out to be one of my favorites since you can see RB and Lil in the mirror as well at the backs of Lil and MJ. MJ wore RB's Aggies sweatshirt most mornings. That sweatshirt is famous. We had at least five people stop to talk to us about USU and the Aggies. Good times.

We did have the girls ride Splash Mountain once before they could choose not to ride it. You can't see MJ because she's leaning over on RB, and Lil wanted me to cover her eyes. The two in front of us were our shadows that morning. As we left our hotel and walked to the gate for our Magic Morning RB started talking to this lady. She ended us lining up behind us and heard RB talking about our plan for the morning. She asked if her and her daughter could tag along. We didn't have a problem with that. MJ became instant friends with her daughter and they rode many of the rides together. This lady was so impressed with all the rides we had been able to get on just in the two hours the park had been opened. Then we headed over to the early entry into California Adventures and met up with this ladies mom and sister. We rode some rides with them at that park and then parted ways. It was a good morning sharing our routine.

Waiting for Souring over CA ride. This was a favorite for all of us.

Pirates of the Caribbean.

I can't remember what ride this was on.

RB loves the rockets and so does Lil. MJ and I just tolerate them.

Casey Jr.

They had the Alice in Wonderland ride opened again. This pic. is for my sister Chel. I took it just for her.

Tarzan's Tree House.

The Tea Cups.

Lil learned this trick from her daddy.

Dumbo.

The girls wanted to watch the parade one night. They loved it!

Small World was still decorated for the holidays. Too bad Haunted Mansion and the Matterhorn were closed.

The girls loved driving at Autotopia.

MJ is such a poser.

Toy Story is another family favorite.

Most nights ended like this for exhausted Lil. I'm glad we had the stroller so we didn't have to carry her.

Thurs. we drove the 12 hours home. It's hard to believe our trip is already over with. It was a blast though. We can't wait to go back in a year or two. Cars land will be opened by then too! Yea!

Buddy Boy and A Blast From the Past

Buddy Boy loves his new stuffed lion from Christmas. These pictures were way to cute not to share them.

Also, since my next post(s) will be about our recent trip to Disneyland this picture was very suiting. This is RB and his whole family on Splash Mountain many years ago. RB is in the very front.

Hair Cuts

My girls have been begging for a hair cut for months now. I finally worked up the gumption to do it. RB left for a meeting and while one girl entertained Buddy Boy I cut the others hair, then they switched. I was pretty pleased with how they turned out the night I did them. I have never had a class and I just try to cut straight (which is my biggest problem).

Lil's before and after.

MJ's before and after.

Front view.

Well the next morning I realized I had butchered MJ's hair. It was so choppy and uneven. So I took the scissors to it again and evened out the hair. I actually love her hair now. Not that it is all straight because it's not. But because when the babysitter curls it, it is really cute. Guess I have to learn how to use a curling iron again. I'm glad I finally cut their hair. Most of the snarls are gone now. Yea!

Buddy Boy 9 Month Update

On Monday Buddy Boy had his 9 month check up. Not much has changed, literally. Here are the stats from his last checkup in Oct. to now in Jan.

Oct. - Jan.
Weight 14.94lbs. (4%) - 15.56lbs. (1%)
Height 25.75 in. (12%) - 26.0 in. (1%)
Head 16.3 in. (2%) - 16.5 in. (0%)

Yep, we have a small one on our hands. Completely the opposite of our girls who were in the 90% and 75%. He is doing good though. He is just supper active and not holding any of the food he eats a ton of.
