This truly is how the first week of school felt. We were super busy with things going on every night of the week.
This year MJ and I are in 5th grade, RB is still in 4th, Lil is in 3rd, Buddy Boy is going to Preschool (he is holding up a P and a K on his fingers), and Ms M had testing done and qualifies for the Early Learning Center. So the only one that will not be going to school this year is Jellybean.
Tues. we did a FHE for the nursing home on prophets. We gave them a clue on what the prophet said, or was best known for and they guessed the prophet. It was fun. Then Wednesday RB and I had the opportunity to clean the temple. That is always a special opportunity. Not many people can say they clean the temple in which they worship. I hope to be able to do it again too.
On Thurs. we took these two and Jellybean with us to the opener Aggie game. It looked like we were going to lose. However, our special teams ran a punt all the way back for a TD which gave us the win. It was a good night. MJ had fun hanging out with grandpa, AKA Captain Aggie.
We did get a few rain drops but no downpour like the rest of the valley was getting. We did see a beautiful sunset too. MJ and Buddy had fun collecting ants and naming them. Jellybean did pretty good. She didn't eat well, but she did sleep well, surprisingly with all the noise. Then after the game we stayed to watch the fireworks show. We got home late that night but it was a good evening.
Jellybean is now 4 months old. That means we finally get to feed her mush. The kids have been anticipating this day for a few months now. They each got a turn to feed her. She was not very impressed with the stuff. Every time I thought she might have eaten some, she would spit more out of her mouth. I'm not sure she got any down. The kids still had fun trying though.
This Labor Day weekend has been spent doing things at home. The garden, cleaning, and simply relaxing. Well, here's to another great week!
