Rb's 32nd Birthday

I'm trying to title this post and changed RB's age three times. I finally got a calculator out and am sure it is 32 years. I thought we said yesterday it was 33 yrs but it it's not.

Anyways, RB's birthday was yesterday. It started very early. Not on purpose. First, Little Rat woke up and sleeping in bed with us. Then Lil woke up and crawled into bed. Lastly, MJ got up and went to the bathroom. All at 5:30 in the morning. So we all just got up and I let RB open his presents.

I know I'm lame, no wrapping.


Here are most of the gifts. I forgot to put in the big bag of peanut butter m&m's. His favorite.
After we got ready for school we went to McDonalds for breakfast. Then to Walmart to buy donutes for his class. I'm glad he had a good day. He changed the date on the board and wrote 05/23/1979. After a few minutes a student goes, "Mr. P why did you put that as the date." Another kid goes, "It is probably the year he graduated". The kids didn't connect the year with his birthday until he explained it to them. How funny.


After dinner of cheeseburgers and fries it was time for the cake. Yes it is a very boring cake but it has the coconut pecan frosting in the middle that he likes.


No, he didn't get all of these games for his birthday. But now he is only missing three expansion cards and one more expansion game. Such a good game.

Happy Birthday RB. We love you and all you do for our family!

Little Rat, MJ's School, and More

Here is a little update. Little Rat absolutely loves this temple picture. Every morning he will stare at this picture. He will turn his head all the way around to be able to see it. We joke that it's because he has been there. There could be truth to it, if he was there when RB and I got married. It has been fun watching him watch the Temple picture.

The end of the school year brings lots on end of the year fun. MJ received an award one day and the next had a mothers program. This is her with her award for being a PRO and having good citizenship.

This is her waiting for her program to start. They sang about 6 songs. It was so cute to watch them do the actions and sing. MJ did great and we are proud of her.


I re-did our family picture wall. For Christmas RB and the girls gave me more black frames. We now have them filled and on the wall. I love it even though some of the pictures are stubborn and are still crooked.


I posted this picture on my Facebook but had to post it here too. I think it is hilarious. Disney really does do their homework before creating a movie to make sure they get all the details correct.


We have two weeks of school left and I'm pumped. I'm ready to stay home with all of my kids and enjoy a good long summer break. Have a great day!

Fund Run & Mothers Day

On Sat. we ran on our schools fund raiser. We had a Fund Run and you could run a 5k or 1 mile. MJ decided to do the 1 mile and so we all signed up. It killed me not doing the 5k when they started but it is probably a good thing. I'm not as in shape as I need to be. RB pushed Little Rat and our nephew while MJ and I ran beside him. (Lil was still with grandparents.) We got about a fourth of the way through the mile and MJ said she needed to walk. So RB kept going and we walked for about 10 sec. Then she said she was ready to go again and we ran the rest of the way. She did so good! I was so impressed that she ran even though she was getting tired. She is going to be my running buddy for sure. It took MJ and I 9:51 min. to finish. I was impressed and happy with our time. MJ was so happy that she won a water bottle with the prizes too. It was a good morning and beautiful weather.

My Mothers Day started with RB and MJ making me french toast with strawberries in bed. It was very delicious. I also got some raspberry lemonade, a nerds rope stick, and lime bars. Yes, my family knows I have a sweet tooth. Church was good and in the afternoon my mom and Lil came home. MJ started to yell, "Lil is home, Lil is home." I go to the door and ask MJ, "What's wrong." She wipes her eyes and says, "I just so happy Lil is home." It was really cute to see how much MJ missed and loves her sister. Although now they have made up for their being separated with many fights and arguments. Oh well, it's good to have Lil back even though I had forgot how much energy she possess at any given time of the day.

Today is my last day of maternity leave. I can't believe it's already over. I am grateful my mom and going to watch my kids till the end of the year. Now I don't have to worry about daycare until Little Rat is about 5 months. That will be good. Well have a great day!

Little Rat's Blessing

Sunday was a beautiful day in more than one way. The weather was sunny, warm, and perfect for family and friends to travel. RB did a wonderful job blessing Little Rat and after we had a big lunch for everyone. We had almost everyone there on both sides of our families, plus many friends who were able to come and support us. We ate, chatted, and enjoyed some games. It was a great day!



Lil decided to go home with my parents for a week til my mom comes back when I go back to work. Needless to say it has been extra quiet around my home. Poor MJ walks around the house lost not knowing what to do with herself. She has expressed many times how she misses her sister. Lil is having a good time at grandma's though and is probably getting spoiled rotten (which she deserves). :)
