Lil is huge into doing her own hair. If I try doing it she screams until I'm done and holding still is out of the question. Her hair turned out so cute yesterday when she did it I had to take a pic. of it, haha.
On Sun. while RB took a nap the girls and I went to a park. We played, ate apples, and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
Summer is the best!

Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple
Yesterday for FHE we went down and saw the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It is gorgeous! It has the a lot of stairs that you can look over the rail and see all the way down or up. It's cool.
Since we went early in the day it wasn't too busy. We were in and out in 1 hour. Perfect time for two little ones. The cookie at the end kept Lil going. MJ loved the baptism font and the water out front. Lil really liked the big chandelier that you can get really close too on the upper floor.
It was a great experience to be there as a family. The spirit testified that we are an eternal family and the peace and happiness that gives me is wonderful!

Lil's poor foot!
Lil got some kind of bite on her foot yesterday. It swelled up like a big balloon. Today where the bite was a blister formed. You can see the blister in this pic. pretty well.
We debated on all sorts of types of bites that might have caused it. Today we took her to the budge clinic. I'm glad they were opened on Sunday so we didn't have to pay an emergency room bill.
The doctor thinks it is a wasp sting. He doesn't think it is infected yet but can't be sure by how it looks. Do didn't want to chance it though and so he prescribed an antibiotic to help. She is also on another medicine that I forgot what it does. We learned a lot about what spider bites look like, the difference between an allergic reaction vs. just a reaction (luckily Lil did not have an allergic reaction, otherwise this whole thing would be worse). So hopefully with these two meds, and some time Lil's foot will get better.

New Blinds
I'm really excited about our new blinds in our front room. Now no one can look in on us when it is dark.
Here are the new blinds opened.

Blanding Visit
After our Yellowstone trip we headed to GR to visit my family. On the way we saw this really cool double rainbow.
After we were in GR for a couple of day my dad, mom, and sister Chel loaded up with my family on one vehicle and traveled to Blanding to visit my Uncle Kay (my moms brother) and his family. It was a blast.
Here are the girls with my mom blowing bubbles one morning.
The tramp was a big hit. Lil is such a little bouncer.
RB showing off his flips.
When we were not outside we were in playing cards or watching movies. Here is Lil while we played cards.
On Sat. we visited four corners. It has been years since I was there last. They charge so much per person now. How cheap!
We also visited a National Park. I think it was called Hovenweep. It had cool ruins on the edge of cliffs. Here is my Uncle Kay and Aunt Jenny walking with Lil. She loved it. Notice how MJ is clear in the front. She is so competitive that way.
Do not ask me why they built doorways facing the cliff side. Weird.
I had to add this picture as we drove through Moab. My mom and dad walked down memory lane as we drove through Monticello and Moab. Both my mom and dad worked here at Walker Drug store. My mom is a Walker and my parents both went to High School in Moab where they met.
RB said I had to blog this pic. So here it is.
Back in GR again we spent another couple of days before heading back to UT. One night this is how we found MJ and Lil.
It's good to be home but we had a blast while we were gone!

Yellowstone 2009
School ended for me on Wed. On Thurs. we headed to Yellowstone and came back Sat. It was SOOOO MUUUUCH FUUUUN!!!!!! We saw a bear! We saw a ton on bison walking right by our car, and we had a moose cross the road right in front of us. We also saw some mountain goats.
MJ's favorite parts were the water falls! She loved them.
Here is my favorite picture.
Our Family. I packed like it was summer. Silly me, it's Wyoming! It rained in the afternoon on Thurs. and Fri. Then Sat. was just plain cold. It was well worth the trip though. Neither RB or I have been and it was a blast!
MJ and Lil looking at the sites. This was Lil's favorite part: just hanging on to the railing.
I love MJ's smile in this pic. This was our first stop on Thurs. when we got there. Even though it was raining MJ LOVED it!
We are definitely going back some time!

End of school Fun
Here is MJ and Lil celebrating the end of school. They are riding brooms and mops.
Lil being very exciting.
Since our students at school made their reading goal we had a teacher un-talent show. Here is my group playing and singing "This Love."
We were lucky enough to get Jared Quayle, USU b-ball player, to come and draw names out for our drawing. He grew up in Perry and came to our school. It was a blast.
Happy End of the School Year to ALL!

RB's B-day
I know RB's b-day was on May 23rd but I'm finally getting around to posting about it. I surprised him with two games (instead of one) and he knew all the rest of i-tunes and Emperors New Groove movie.
MJ wanted to give him one of her puppies. RB even slept with it that night.
The two games he got.
Sunday we had some friends come over to play games. One brought some old people gifts since he is now 30yrs. How funny!
Happy b-day RB, we love you (even if you are old)!

A Home of Order
For FHE tonight we had a great lesson. It was on keeping a home of order. We talked about different responsibilities we all have to keep the home running smoothly. Mom and dad mow the lawn, do the laundry, and be an example. MJ needs to be an example for her sister, pick up her toys, and put away her laundry. Lil can help put toys away and be an example for older sister as well. After we CLEANED THE HOUSE FOR 10 MINUTES. This was my favorite part. I know 10 minutes is not a lot, especially when you have to help a 3 years old put her clothes away but we at least got most of the rooms organized again. Dishes need to be done, we need to clean away all the germs, and vacuum but toys are away and the girls room no longer has clothes EVERYWHERE. What a good FHE!
