And Then There Were Four

My parents brought the other kids home on Friday. Now there are four little ones running around. The girls have adjusted well to Ms. M which was expected. They have wanted to hold her and give her loves, but then go and play like always.

Buddy Boy on the other hand has had to make a few adjustments. He loved holding her when he first got home but hasn't been interested since. To RB and I he has grown a ton in the week they have been gone. He is huge compared to what Ms. M is. He is actually doing well with understanding he only gets a pacifier at night and if he finds one he gives it to Ms. M. Yesterday he was a little jealous and who ever was holding Ms. M that is who he wanted to be held by. We played the passing off game for awhile until he was content. He is doing well at nights and has only woken up once or twice to go right back to sleep. That is nice.

We are trying to get Buddy Boy to gain some weight. He loves peanut butter and so we gave him a spoon full of it. He loved it so much he asked for more. This should help with gaining some weight.

Things are going well. I'm glad it is summer so we can be more relaxed and not on a schedule. Ms. M is sleeping better at night and actually slept in her bed so I could sleep in my bed. That was good.

Fun at the Grandparents

For the past week the kids have been with grandma and grandpa. This was so when I had the baby we could focus on her. My mom usually comes and stays with us for a week or two to help with the kids and the newborn. However, this time my parents are serving a mission in the Bishops Warehouse in their town. When food orders need to be filled they go and fill them, and make sure they have food ordered and shelves stocked for the needs in the area. Because of this, they can't leave town for longer than a day or two in case someone needs an order. So my parents took the kids home with them this time and boy oh boy has it been quiet in our home this past week.

We have sent pictures and a video of Ms. M to my parents to show the kids and my mom sent me some pictures of the fun times they are having there too. My dad made it rain and the kids loved it.

My dad also took the girls on the four-wheeler.

My mom couldn't resist taking pictures of the girls pretending to be pregnant. MJ has tennis balls as well as a small basketball sporting her look.

I'm glad they had fun while they were gone. They come home today and we can't wait to see them and introduce them to Ms. M. Have a great day everyone!

Baby Pictures

I decided to post baby pictures of the kids. I had to take a pic. of the pic. for MJ since none of her baby world was digitized until age two. Look and see who you think looks the most alike as babies.

We think Lil and Ms. M look a lot alike. While the other two have their own features. Fun, fun.

Molly B Pedersen

Molly B Pedersen has arrived!

She came on July 23rd at 8:50pm. She was 7 lbs 2 oz (a full pound heavier than Buddy Boy) and was 19 in. long. The B stands for Beverly which is Mikes Grandma Coleman. This was probably one of the easier deliveries for me. We walked and sat around the house for about 3 hrs while my contractions were under 5 min. before heading to the hospital. Once I got there though things slowed down. Luckily they kept me because even though I couldn't feel all of them I was still having the contractions. The hardest part was the nurse breaking my water. Molly kept turning her head while she was doing it and it was painful. Then came the epidural and everything else was a breeze. Buddy Boy came faster because I was already started on patocin (however it is spelled) but they hadn't started that yet with Molly. Still within the hour of my water breaking I had her.

Ms. M (Molly) has a frog foot. We are watching it to make sure it straightens but she likes her foot bent upwards. The next picture shows her little toe marks in her shin after she did straighten it for awhile.

She is such a good baby. A good eater too!

 Getting ready to come home.

One eye peaking open once we got home.

Last night was a long night. Ms. M didn't want to sleep and both RB and I were up for half the night. RB has let me sleep most of this morning which has been very good. It's great to be home and I can't wait for the other kids to come home on Fri. and meet their new sister. We posted pictures on facebook and they said she looked like a boy. hehe.

Welcome to the family Ms. M!

New Tongues & A Lot of Time

Buddy Boy found Mr. Potato heads tongue and was walking around the house like this a week or two ago. Of course it was so funny the girls had to try it too. It was good entertainment for about 30min.

My parents came and got the kids for us last week. Since then it has been a waiting game for the baby to come. We have had a lot of time on our hands and have enjoyed the quiet. We decided it was time to get the baby dressed and we were wondering what she might look like. Here is what we came up with:

Can't wait for little baby to come soon!

Can I Have the Baby Now?

Asked Buddy Boy if I should have his baby sister today. He shook his head no. Asked if I should have the baby tomorrow, same response. What about next week? No. What about in August? Still no. So now I'm desperate, Can your sister come in Sept? He shook his head yes!

I'm thinking tomorrow would be just fine with me!

MJ Turns 7

My baby girl is now 7 years old. It is hard to believe she's going into 2nd grade too. She is growing up way to fast! She got to open her presents in the morning because her sister did too.

She got: beads set to make necklaces and bracelets, a new dress, church shoes, Cinderella toy, Airheads, baby unicorn pillow pet, a 3 barrel curler, toothbrush holder, chalk, and chalk holders. She also got a movie like Lil did off itunes. MJ is holding her favorite gifts.

MJ doesn't get fireworks on her birthday but we still try to make it special. She choose McDonalds for dinner (like Lil did), and daddy took them plus two friends to the movies. They say, "Mr. Poppers Puinguins." Here they are all dolled up for the movies. I used MJ's curler and she loves it.

I shouldn't admit this but MJ didn't get her birthday cake till the next day. While RB had the kids at the movies, Buddy Boy went down for a nap, and so I watched a movie. I should have been baking a cake first though. MJ was okay with it though because she got ice-cream on her birthday and then the cake the next day. She asked for a double strawberry cake. She loves strawberry. I love this picture as you can see Lil trying (thankfully not succeeding) in blowing out MJ's candles.

I had to include this picture. They are just too funny.

Swim Lessons

We made the girls to swim lessons again this year. Lil of course loved them again. MJ actually enjoyed them and passed her class this year. We were very proud of her. She is becoming braver every day and that is good.

Here is Lil with her teacher. On this day she was the only one in her group. She doesn't like the water on her face but she loves to kick and swim.

Here is MJ with her group. Last year she wouldn't even put her face in the water. This year she did everything she was asked and did a great job.

Can't wait to see how they do next year!

Not Going to Make It

Last night Lil had a fruit snack while watching a movie. I walked into the kitchen to have this conversation.
Lil: (very dramatically) Mom, I'm not going to make it.
Me: Your not going to make it where.
Lil: To the garbage. (holding out her fruit snack wrapper to me)

Did I take it, no. I told her she better find a way to make it and throw it away herself. Later I was sitting in the front room talking to RB and she comes out to us.
Lil: Mom, I really just can't make it.
Me: Well if you would have walked the other way to the garbage, than this way to me, you would have walked less steps. So you can make it.

What a drama queen. She cracks me up!

4th of July

Our Fourth of July was pretty laid back. In the morning RB got another project half way done. He tilled the garden. Now we just need more dirt to fill it in and then we can till gain to be done with it.

The girls went to a friends house and played most of the day so we had lots of Buddy Boy time. He is so funny how he keeps coming back for more tickles.

That night, after a great skirt steak dinner, the girls watched a movie while we played a game. After we were getting the kids to bed when RB comes in from outside and says, "Get the kids we are leaving for a bit." I knew instantly there was a fire somewhere. This is the view from our back porch. It was about a block away and it ended up only being a shed. Luckily the fire department was super fast and as far as we know no houses caught on fire.

After the smoke was gone I went with the girls to see the fire trucks. I know this picture isn't the best but you can see the fire truck on the left and more fire works on the right. When we left we headed another block away from it and stopped to talk to some ward members. Once the smoke was cleared we headed back.  Better to be safe than sorry especially this year with all the wildfires and homes that have already been burned.

It was a good Fourth. I'm glad it was a lazy one. I needed a day to relax. I'm so grateful to live in America with all my freedoms. Happy Birthday America!

Lil Turns 5

My little Lil turned 5 yesterday. It's hard to believe she is going to be starting school this year. One thing I love about Lil is she always has a sparkle in her eye's. She loves life. She was so excited for her birthday. We made her wait until after swim lessons to open her presents. However, as you can see from the pictures as soon as they walked in the doors the presents were being opened. She got a lot of little things this year but seems to like all of them.

Here she is with everything: a new camp chair, skirt, shirt, flip-flops, a bug catcher, play dough, airheads, a straightener/curler, bubble wand, and yes a toothbrush holder that is pink. It was on the list of things she wanted. She is holding her favorite gifts which are a baby ladybug pillow pet, and a Cinderella toy.

Later that night we went into town to watch the fireworks. This was Lil's favorite part of the day. She loves that she gets fireworks on her birthday. Playing in the sand is always a fun way to pass the time waiting for it to get dark.

Bubbles. Who doesn't love bubbles?

We also ate Lil's b-day cake. She wanted pink and purple frosting with polka-dots. I did my best. It still tasted yummy.

It was fun watching the moon raise as the fireworks went off. We had a great time with family. Happy Birthday Lil Bug. We love you tons!
