September

It is football season. Which means we watch a lot of college ball at our home. One Sat. I was taking a nap and I woke up to this on the TV. My first thought was, "Why did they circle the guys bum?" RB game me a very hard time about this. However, I have a coworker who totally agreed with me. hehe.

Never a dull moment when my children get ahold of my phone.

Lazy Sundays are the best!

Lil really wanted the tooth fairy to bring a puppy with her last tooth that she lost. This was the tooth fairies response:

Chel's birthday was at the end of Sept. Happy birthday sis!

We went to WY to visit with my mom while my dad was out of town. This was our drive there:

Yes, that is snow in SEPTEMBER! Got to love WY weather.

General Conference fun!

First Days of School

Another school year has begun. We have one in intermediate, and 3 in elementary. MJ is loving 7th grade and loves that she doesn't have a ton of homework this year. Lil is super excited for her 5th grade teacher and being on student council. Buddy Boy is liking the duel Spanish immersion and doesn't really say much about it. Then Ms M has started kindergarten and loves it. The Em-A-Nator tells me every day, "My mom is home! My mom is home!" and if daddy is lucky he gets a, "My dad is home!" too. RB is still in 4th and I moved down to 3rd grade. I'm surviving and each day gets better and better. Its been so stinking HOT that after that first day of school we have been in shorts EVERY day. Once it cools down we will put the shorts away but when its in the 90's shorts are necessary to survive. Here's to another great year!

Nieces Wedding

RB's niece got married the weekend before school. It was a beautiful night, and lots of yummy food. MJ loved the chocolate covered strawberries, and the rest of the kids loved the ice-cream bar. I'm glad we were able to go and support her in this new chapter of her life.

(Captain America cuff links. Awesome!)

The Fair

The fair is always a fun week. A sad week, knowing school starts the next week, but fun. The kids love doing the rides after the parade. We get a little food, and walk around the exhibits. The kids entered some garden food this year. They got about $8 for it all. So we took them to get snow cones with the money. Yea, for the fair.

2017 Eclipse

The great 2017 Eclipse passed over the United States and boy was it a big event. Stories of people traveling 9 hours home when it should have taken 3 hours. Stories of cows and farm animals laying down in the pastures because they thought it was night, and stories of the temperature change. We were not able to experience any of that though. We had a meeting that day and had to work. So we took breaks and went outside to watch it. It was still pretty cool. It got hazy, like sunset. You could see a difference in brightness but it was not total darkness like in other areas. While we worked, the kids went to some neighbors and hung out. They had a great time! They made cereal boxes to look at the shape of the sun, and then another neighbor brought over their telescope that they could look through. I'm so grateful they got to experience it too and have memories of this epic day in their lives. I'm grateful for good neighbors who are willing to let others hang with them. The day was a success!
