Gymnastics & More

We convinced the girls to try gymnastics this year. I'm glad MJ was willing to try it and if MJ goes then Lil is sure to follow. The other week they had parent night. Parents get to come and see how wonderful their kids are doing and what they are learning. I was impressed at the different things that MJ and Lil both were good at.

MJ is getting pretty flexible. She loves showing us their warm-up routine at home and gets lots of practice stretching out.

Lil is doing really well with her back bend as well!

While the teacher worked with a small group of kids teaching them something the others were supposed to be practicing skills on the other rotations. I would say it was about 50/50 on whether kids were doing what they were supposed to or not.

Here are some videos of what they were learning that day and them practicing balancing on the beam. Lil just flew through the beam over and over again and only balanced checked a few times. MJ was definitely more timid on the beam but still did great.

I have some random pics that the girls wanted me to take. This one is getting ready in the morning. I love that Buddy Boy is smiling now when he knows we are taking pictures.

MJ loves the nose to nose pictures.

Ms M's first mush feeding. No, of course she didn't like it. Yes, of course she made funny faces. It amazes me how eventually they like and will eat this stuff.  Another mile stone Ms M hit is she rolled from her back to her tummy this week. She is growing way to fast.

Buddy Boy is becoming a parrot and repeating many words that he hears. MJ and Lil are doing great in school. We all are excited for Christmas! I have more to post but it will have to wait until I figure out a way to get my pictures off my phone and onto my camera now that my dumb printer isn't working. Until then have a great day!

Christmas Shopping and Lights

It's tradition in our family to go shopping and look at the Christmas lights on Temple Square. We have never been to the new City Creek shopping center and so we checked it out too. It was pretty cool I guess for a shopping place, if you like shopping and are into that. We did get some shopping done and are almost done with all of our shopping now. Just a couple more things to get. RB's brother, wife, and kid were able to join us for awhile shopping. It was good to see them and catch up.

The Macy's windows were really cool! It is amazing that these are all made our of candy. Definitely made the top 5 list of things we saw and did. Here is Rat with the Rat King. hehe.

Another top 5 is visiting the South visitors center and seeing the temple diorama. It is super cool to look at and the girls love all the buttons that you can push on the touch screens.

Another top 5 is of course the lights.

Relaxing for a bit and MJ taking pictures of doggy Lil.

This was awesome and may be number 1 on the coolest parts of our night. They were doing a concert in one of the buildings and we went in to listen for awhile. It was SO BEAUTIFUL. We would have stayed longer, but Buddy was done and had had enough. So we continued on.

Lastly, we always visit the North visitors center and the statue of Christ.
 MJ loves this!

It was a fun, long day and we were all exhausted by the end of it. Buddy had a HARD time in our last stop with the statue of Christ. They were only letting up groups of people at a time and so we had to wait. He hated that. Then on the way home everyone fell asleep but Ms M who screamed the majority of the way home. Plus, traffic was crazy. We don't get out much to the big cities I guess. So besides the drive home the day was a success. Good family fun!

Ms M 4 Months

I wanted to give you a quick update on Ms M who just had her 4 month check up. She is doing great. She loves to smile, sleeps well at night (only waking up once to eat, usually), and is a very content baby. She hates belly time and is starting to get to the point where she might roll any second. She might have a tooth working it way up too. Here are her stats:
weight: 14.63 lbs 69%
height: 23.5 in 18%
head: 15.6 in 10%
If you recall Buddy Boy only weights about 21 lbs right now. Yes, soon Ms M will out weigh him. I'm glad she is healthy and happy. Have a great day!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was at my parents home. One sister and one brother were there as well. It was good to see nieces, and nephews I haven't seen in a long time. The weekend was spent eating delicious food, playing games, watching movies, and yes crazy shopping. I am very blessed in my life and this time of year is always good to take time to reflect on those blessings.

Buddy is such a character. It is so fun to watch little ones express themselves and I often wonder what they are thinking. Although sometimes I don't want to know what they are thinking. Anyways, here Buddy Boy is riding a pony. Didn't quit get a picture of it but you get the idea.

Ms M with grandpa. I love this picture!

Great Grandma Boyer and Aunt Karen came by to visit for awhile too before their Thanksgiving dinner. It was good to see them. Too bad Buddy was taking a nap so they couldn't see him too, but that's okay, sometimes naps are better.

Before my brother left my mom sent him with a bag full of ham. Buddy Boy thought that was great and he wanted some too. He wouldn't accept just a piece of ham though, it had to be in a bag. He snagged the bag my mom had and took off.
I love the progression of these pictures. Happy he has his ham, and then running from sister.

Sister caught up.

No, I don't want to share my ham.

The girls went downstairs to play and he was content with his ham.

He saw me with the camera and instantly smiled like this. Too cute!

Here are some pictures of Ms M.

Liller Bug on a lazy morning.

MJ, Buddy, and cousin

On the way home we had to stop and were lucky enough that is was here at Devils Slide. We have driven by this place MANY times and I think this is the first time we have stopped. It's a pretty cool sight.
Thanksgiving was fun, and a great break. Hope all of yours went well too!

Destructo

Buddy Boy is now going to be called Destructo Boy, j/k.
For FHE we were writing what we were thankful for an turkey feathers. Buddy Boy being such a big helper had more fun scattering the crayons than coloring with them.
It still was a fun night even with the realization that my little boy is hitting the terrible two's early.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
