RB's School Pics.

RB came home today with his school pics. He thought it was cool that he got a whole pic. pack. I thought his pic was cool. Okay HILARIOUS is more like it. Yes, that is a sticky-uppy-do-hicky-thing-a-ma-jig.

So my true question is: Why didn't the photographer tell him about it before taking the pic?

Besides the sticky-uppy-do-hicky-thing-a-ma-jig I think the pics. turned out pretty good.

Cleaning, Dogies, and Movies Oh My!

MJ has started helping me with the chores around the house. She really enjoys vacuuming. While I picked up the floor she went to work. She did a very good job too. I only had to do the sides that were too hard for her to maneuver the vacuum to get. What a good helper she is!

Yesterday MJ and I had a girls outing. We went to see High School Musical 3. This is us ready to go. Our neighbor down the street and her little boy came with us too. MJ loved going with a friend. She did really well. This was her first time ever going to the theaters. She got the have the movie snack pack and she sat through the first half of the show eating her treats and watching the show. She loved it.

After I asked what her favorite part was. She said it was the basketball song. She really likes the first two movies so I was hoping she would like this one, and she did. We had a good time.

These next three pics were supposed to go the other way. No matter how I put them in though they came out to be in this order. Yesterday MJ was being a dogie and going down the stairs head first. Well Lil being a little dare devil tried it out. She got half way down the first stair and chickened out. She turned around and went down the right way. Now I'm thankful she chickened out because she would have rolled down the stairs if she hadn't of. She is already trying to walk down them like we do. Today she went off the third step and crashed down to the floor. Luckily she wasn't at the top.

This pic is Lil turning around.

This is Lil following her sister head first down the stairs being a doggy.

Shopping with my Sister

I forgot to tell you a story that happened when we were in WY. My sister blogged it and reminded me about it. So now I'm blogging it because it was quite humorous to me. So my sister May likes to shop. Well like is an understatement. She LOVES to shop. After a lunch at Applebee's we headed to the local mall. My sister Chel, RB, and I got tired of walking through this one store and so we went and sat on a bench in the mall. My sister May comes out and says, "I need an opinion on some clothes, RB can you come help." Yes my sister asked my husband for fashion advice over her sisters. As my sister Chel stated on her blog "I guess she (May) just knows we don't shop for ourselves, our husbands do if for us. Left to ourselves we buy the same shirt in 5 different colors!! Good thing we have husbands with good fashion sense!!" I think she worded it great. So if you ever need a tip on fashion don't ask me, ask RB! :)

This pic is staged but it was too funny.

GR Trip

For UEA/Fall break we went to GR and I promised my sister a good blog when we got back. So here it is. I finally have the mail sorted, luggage was unpacked yesterday (yes mom, even my laundry was all hung and put away in the closet), I have all my e-mails updated and the fridge has been restocked. So now I can blog.

We had a blast in GR visiting my family. I got to see everyone but one brother-in-law, one niece, and one nephew. We played games, watched videos, and of course talked. One high light of our GR trips is always the wildlife we will see. Usually they are in my parents back yard but that actually only happened once this trip. If you look across the street the deer just passed the white vehicle in the driveway. The kids loved it! This is the sister closest to me in age.

Another plus about our trips is my parents new garage. My dad insulated it and put a pellet stove in the corner. It gets pretty toasty in their sometimes. It makes it nice for meals and a place for the kiddoes to play.

This is my oldest brother. Everyone else is an in-law or niece/nephew.

MJ is kind of weird. While the rest of us ate in the garage at a table my daughter decided to eat outside. I put her on the ground and came back to see that grandpa had taken care of her. Yes, she ate her entire meal outside by herself. Now I think that's weird but I still love her to pieces.

The one in bright orange is ME. This is a regular family occurrence for us. Yes, I'm always on bottom. Don't ask me how that works out because I don't have a clue.

We had a blast on our days off. It's good to be home again in my own bed but I miss my family already.

FHE Corn Maze

For FHE last night we went to my school Corn Maze activity. I didn't actually see any of my this years students, but I saw many past years kids I've taught and other kids in the other fifth grade classes. It was actually really fun. MJ got to pick which way we went for awhile before daddy led the way out. It took us 45 min. to get through. We started with two strollers. Then MJ wanted to walk. After a particularly bumpy part of the maze Lil was done too. So we had two empty strollers for the rest of it.

This is us as we are starting our journey through the maze.

After the maze our PTA had donuts (or doughnuts, which one of my students pointed out to me today in school) and apple juice.

Yes this is a corn kernel. MJ insisted on picking up her "corn balls" off the ground. At one point in time she had an entire family of corn balls. A mama, daddy, grandpa, and grandma to go with the baby corn ball.

We were lucky to only end up with one casualty during our outing. MJ stepped in a mud puddle and was pretty upset about it. Then of course she had to step on me and get the mud on my pants but that's okay. Once Lil was being held she had a great time too.

Will we do it ever again? Definitely.
