I decided if I was going to do a video on my blog it had better be before school started. I just took clips from here and there and put it in one video. I hope they aren't too long. I think they are both under 2 min. On my play list there is a pause button if you want the music to stop so you can hear the video's better.
The first one is of MJ and she is participating in her own Olympic games. Don't ask me who ceegee is. She is also reading her own bed time story, playing with Lil, and singing.
This one is of Lil. My sister wanted to see Lil walking and so this is it. Plus it has Lil licking the stove, her being a motor boat, and playing peek-a-boo.
Hope you enjoyed. Good luck to all of you who start school tomorrow.

The Past
RB is watching football and I'm getting bored. So I decided to post some pics of the past and tell some stories that might help you know me a little better, even if it is as a nerd.
This is my sister May and I.
I am on my moms lap. Then from left to right it goes my oldest bro Ki, May, Ne, and Chel.
Just another family pic.
My sister and I are very close. We call and talk to each other a lot. This pic. had to be early high school, I think.
This pic is much more recent. When? I don't know, but definitely more recent.
Here are some stories I remember about my past that I feel like sharing.
In college I had a plant. RB always says that naming them and talking to them will help them stay alive. So one night when I probably should have been studying we got out the Book of Mormon and looked at the names. Yes I had the coolest name for a plant: Riply-Teancum.
I used to rate my dates too on a scale of 1 to 10. RB got a kick reading my journals after he found that out and then complaining why he never got a perfect 10. He came close though.
In elementary school age I used to pretend I was a figure skater. My older sister Chel would watch me go through my routine and then give me a score. She would never give me a perfect score though and I would always get upset at her. I even had a couples routine so I would go through my part as well as my partners part for her. Maybe it's her fault I never gave my dates a perfect score.
Hope you enjoyed! Have a great day.

End of Summer
Well the end of summer is finally here. Both RB and I start school on Mon. I'm slowly getting excited about it. I had a REALLY good summer and I am NOT looking forward to getting up at 5:40 every morning. But besides that I'm looking forward to my class. I've been told I have some really good kids.
MJ is picking up on everything that I do. Her newest one is crossing her legs.
This is MJ's impersonation of Big foot off of 'The Goofy Movie.' It has to be with her new Dora underwear (which she loves to show off and tell everyone about).
I guess this is the new thing to be doing while eating on apple.
This week we went to the park. MJ went down the big slide 4 times all by herself! That is a huge accomplishment for her.
Lil is walking everywhere now. Hopefully I'll get some video up soon for you to see. We were outside talking with some friends and this is how dirty her feet got.
Lil being cute.

RB
Many people have asked/commented on the initials I use for my hubby. They know TP is me but haven't heard the story behind RB. So I have decided to let you all know the story behind the nickname that he has had for many, many years.
It all started when he was about 16 years old. He worked at a recycling place called Valley Metals. His dad was the manager, and his two older brothers also worked there along with many of his friends. Since he was only 16 was not allowed to work the big machinery. You have to be 18 for that. So he got put on all the dirty clean up jobs like sweeping the entire lot and things like that.
Now you have to understand my hubbies name is Mike. It is a very common name. In fact he was friends with 2 other Mikes. Now for those of you with common names you understand what it is like to always hear your name and they never want you. That or you hear it and you figure it's not you they want when it really is. You get the picture.
Well one day while at work RB was cleaning underneath a truck scale. One of his friend from work made the comment about how he looked like a "rat." The other friend thought that was hilarious and started calling him "rat boy" from then on. Since most of his family and friends worked there they all heard the nickname and so they starting calling him "rat boy" at home as well. This worked well when he was hanging around other people named mike because he finally knew if they were talking to him or not.
Years passed and RB finally moved on to other jobs. However, his friends still called him rat boy." When we started dating one friend in particular always called him "RB" for short of "rat boy."
Now you also have to understand that he was not the only one of his friends to have a nickname. In fact some of his friends don't even know his first name. Once while going out to eat they got a table under his name. Some girls showed up later and the one asked for rats and frogs table. Good thing at least one of the friends knew his name because the waiter looked at her like she was crazy. RB has friends named "frog", "z-taco", and yet another is "berry."
So now you have heard the story behind RB's nickname, aka rat boy.

Painting
RB and I decided we didn't have enough to do this summer. So we added some projects called painting. This is MJ painting her room purple. We used only one of the two gallons so now we are painting more of the rooms.
These are the stairs leading down into the basement and another bedroom. My parents are bringing up a bed for us to put in it so we are going to paint it too. This is a before pic of the stairs but the after pic did not turn out. Sorry you'll have to use your imaginations.
The bedroom in the basement before.
The bedroom after with the new (to us) bed.
The girls room with cute princess stickers that Grandma gave us.
The girls bathroom just has a focus wall painted purple.
Our bathroom had all four walls painted purple. Yes, RB now has a girlie bathroom.
For those of you who don't paint much it can be very dangerous. This is just a slight burn that I received when I was taping up the light fixture. However, the next pic. is much more terrifying. Painting is a dangerous sport, but someone has to do it.
My parent brought up this TV stand for us. I know it's not very pretty but it holds all the electronic stuff so now Lil can't get it. Plus we can now get to the DVD player from the couch instead of having to stand up every time we tried getting a straight shot at it. Thanks mom and dad.
It feels good to be done with our painting project. :)
