August

I saw this cool experiment on Facebook. It's milk, food coloring, and then you drop in a cotton ball covered in dish soap. It swirls around and it is pretty amazing. We came up with some life analogies about being centered on Christ to help you through our colored trials of life. It worked for a FHE when I was too tired to go through the whole rigmarole of things.

RB's dad always said when he died to just throw him over the fence into the graveyard. Well, he pretty much is. His head stone finally got in and we had to go see it. It turned out amazingly!

MJ is getting big into french braids. It's been fun to help with her in the mornings.

Once again we had the fair right before school. It rained a little on us this time while doing the rides but we still had a great time. The kids entered zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and some green beans. We actually had some green beans. The zucchini and cherry tomatoes are the only thing that did well this summer. :( On a positive note, I did survive taking 6 kids to the parade, and fair alone. I was happy about that. RB stayed on to start working on the shed. That was our first big night leveling the gravel and putting out the runners so the rest of the shed could go up. Yea! :)

Here comes another school year. RB-4th, me-3rd, MJ-8th, Lil-6th, Buddy Boy-2nd, Ms M-1st. So far it's been a great year!

Poor Em gets to stay home all by herself this year. At least she has bear, or dog, or whatever it is, to play with at the park.

Fun times on the tramp!

Family Campout

We had another successful family camp-out this year. Where we camped had no trees, so the wind was horrible, but the reservoir was nice. We found a sandy beach to play at the one day and we had a blast! There was a lot of fishing going on the entire time too. Ms M even caught a fish. She said she was going to catch a fish and then go to bed. She snagged one on her line and her uncle came to help her get it off. He turned around to say good job, and she was already gone up the hill back to camp. She came and found me and goes, "Mom, I caught a fish. Can I go to bed now." So I put her to bed and she slept great that night. It was funny. We did a lot of swimming in the lake, and side-by-side riding too. It was a good three and a half days of camping.

Til next year.

Shed, Zucchini, & Cuteness

From old shed to new shed. It's been a process for about 3-4 weeks. We have accomplished a ton! Just a few more projects to complete and we are finished!

Neglecting the yard because of the shed.

Our zucchinis did awesome this year! We got a few green beans, a few cherry tomatoes, and three rotten peppers. But hey, we can be eating zucchini bread and cookies all winter long, so we are set. :)

RB recorded this video a long time ago. It's so freaking cute! I love it!

When Buddy Boy gets bored while helping with the shed, this happens.
