Easter

Easter was a great weekend for us. We decorated eggs, listened to General Conference, and went to grandmas. We trimmed her  apple tree, ate dinner, and had an egg hunt. Then the kids all slept upstairs and woke up to a maze of ribbon leading to their Easter gifts.  Then we finished the day with more conference, games, and being together as a family. It was a great weekend sustaining a new president to the church, and learning about all the changes to Home and Visiting teaching. Continue revelation is amazing and I'm grateful for the gospel and my family!

Buddy Boy Turns 7

It must be good to be 7. At least for this little boy. He had a great birthday. He had a friend over for dinner, presents, and playing. He is really into Bey blades right now, and anything Spiderman. He is a great son and brother. He does things the first time asked, and has a very tender heart. He doesn't like to get into trouble or have people upset with him. He is a good peacemaker and is good at compromising. We love you Buddy Boy!

March 2018

I forgot when we actually had enough snow to go sledding. I'm pretty sure it was in March but I can't be for sure. We definitely had a mild winter this year with only a few days of snow. But we did go sledding the one time we had enough snow to do so. We took some friends and had a great time!

This girl loves being the center of attention. She cracks me up. This is her paper mustache.

Heater time under a bubble sheet. He is loving it!

MJ and Lil had a volleyball tournament at the end of March. MJ was not happy about the whole thing. They only had two practises before the tournament and she was so nervous. Lil was whatever with it all. We were definitely the worst team there. However, our girls really improved! Each game they played they got better and better. They played a TON of games too. They had three teams but only enough girls for two. So if you were not playing you subbed in other games and they just pulled girls to get a team together. Serving was bad. Our poor girls were not doing well. With some coaching though they were finally able to get some over with underhand. Lil got a few over and scored some points. That was cool for her. MJ went on a roll during one of the games. She just kept serving over and over again. The crowd was cheering and yelling for her. She loved it. She served overhand too! It was a long afternoon and night but it was such a good experience for my girls.

At the DMV they sell wrenches and screwdrivers in the candy machine. My dad got a huge kick out of that. Smart, but funny.

Lil had her 5th grade performance. She did awesome on her speaking part. She spoke slow, and clearly. It was great!

Our new toy. Pool table, ping-pong table, and you can flip it over for an air hockey table. 3-in-1 baby! We have had fun with it!

Last, RB hurt himself while playing Pickleball. He was going after a ball, and fell down. He said it felt like a cramp, but it still hurt after a few days. After further research on the Internet he is pretty sure he tore his calf muscle. It took almost a month to heal and he still can't really run on it. It is a good reminder that he is needs to slow down a bit and make sure he is hydrating his body.

February 2018

Lil had 80s day. She would have fit in well in the 80s. :) She's definitely my child.

Some good friends of ours sealed they youngest boy to them. We were so lucky to be able to make it down and see them, and participate in watching that sacred event. Families are forever!

Grandma was cleaning out a closet and found some old hats and gloves. These dog gloves are so cute.

For young women's they did a Book of Mormon cake wars. MJ was given the story about the Brother of Jared touching the stones and seeing Christ. The other half of the cake is about them building a ship and them being like a whale in the sea (Ether 2:24-25). One of her friends ate the ship though.

RB was able to take his annual ski trip with his brother and mom. I'm glad they have a good time!

My parents are so cute. They are snap-chatting with the grandkids. Hehe.

We were able to go sledding on our new blow-up polar bear.

The Em-A-Nator giving knuckles and playing Pickleball.

RB and I had parent teacher conferences. On our last night I got these texts from my daughter. Silly me thought it was because she missed us with our late nights. I should have known something was up.

When we got home all the lights were out. They jumped out and tried scaring us. Some were under the table, Ms M was in the coat closet, and Buddy was nowhere to be seen. I asked MJ where he was. She said he got mad and went up to his room to pout. Totally believable. So RB went upstairs to check on him, and I went to hang up my coat.

This is what I saw.

This is what happened after I hung up my coat. He emerged saying "Ninja." It scared me so bad. The kids sat and laughed for a good five minutes at me.

 Ms M loves selfie.

Buddy's Jr Jazz ended. He did well and his team improved a ton. The week after RB was able to take Buddy to a Jazz game. They had horrible weather, lots of traffic jams, and a good dinner at Red Robins. They had fun and I'm glad they were able to go together.

Our ward had a country dance. We had fun dancing the night away. Learning to swing, line dancing, homemade root beer, and eating really yummy cookies. It was a great night.

Here is a fun video of the Em. Love her!
