June So Far

RB went to APT camp. This is the only photo he got going on the swing. It was supposed to be a video but it was on the wrong setting. 

In my last post I told how my grandma had died.  We traveled home this last week for her funeral. It was okay. It was weird for me. I did the life sketch and it went well. My sister shared memories and only two people stood to share other memories. Then at the lunch after there was a lot of alcohol. So much in fact that my uncle kissed me when we left an hour after it started. It was good to see family and I'm glad I know that I will see my grandma again.

My kids love the splash pad. The only day we could go was the day we were traveling home. We were leaving at 10am and we got to the park about 9am. Yep, the water turns on at 10. Crappy. So the kids played instead and had a good time before we had to come back.  

 MJ got one of grandma's dresses and wore it to church. 

I know Jellybean has gas. However, this smile is freaking adorable!

Grandma Boyer

Yesterday my grandma passes away. She was ready to pass and even though she was will missed it is good that she is finally gone. She lived a good life and is finally with her husband who died when I was in 3rd grade. A few memories I have is my grandma always watched General Conference on TV even though she wasn't a member. She also listened to the Spoken Word on Sunday mornings. 

While my grandma lived with my parents Ms M loved sitting with her. Almost every day Ms M would take her babies or books and sit with Grandma. Together they would read and play together. It will always be a cherished memory. 

You will be missed Grandma! We love you! Till we meet again!

RB's B-Day, MJ's Pentathlon, & More

Buddy ready for church. I love his new smile. It's how he always smiles now when you tell him too. 

Chel's boyfriend came over to watch a hockey game. My kids love playing with him. This was their latest creation. It was super cool and I should have gotten video of it. The car went through the house and then through the loop at the end. Buddy was in car heaven! 

 Well RB had another birthday. The only thing he asked for was a gift card for somewhere good to go eat. So I went with Longhorn steak house. The last time we were there we were really impressed. I also got him a Grand Canyon University shirt and pennant. The pennant is for his classroom where he has a collection of colleges growing on his wall. GCU is where we got our masters degree. Doodle-Dice is a great game that even the kids love playing. Okay I guess he did ask for the Avenger blanket too. Then I got him some transparent yellow dice since two of his special dice got lost. Now he has plenty to spare. The Butterfingers are from the kids and Lil had to get him a special gift. She wanted a toy hamburger since last year that is what he said he wanted for his b-day. We couldn't find a hamburger, but we did find a pig. That oinks. It's annoying. In fact, all the way home I listened to the pig oink the tune of "Here Comes the Bride" over and over and over again. It was great. The only bad thing was RB was sick on his birthday. He was sick all weekend and that was a crumby way to have a birthday. 

We love when it rains and we see double rainbows.

MJ had a school pentathlon. She didn't want to participate but everybody had too. Since I was still on maternity leave I came and watched some events. She only got one out of three for the soccer shoot. She said she didn't do well in the baseball and football throws. But she took first in her class in the sprint and the basketball shoot. She was pretty happy about that. She had a good time even though she didn't want to do it. Great job MJ! 

I'm glad I took advantage of my time off. I was able to go to lunch with both MJ and Lil twice. It was fun!

I have been trying to get a picture of this face since M&M was born. This pouty face is how she looked when she was born. It melts my heart when she pouts like this. SO FREAKING CUTE!

Lil made this giraffe at grandmas home and wanted a picture so she could build it again. She did a great job and is very creative! 

Some of May

Life with five kids isn't too bad, yet anyways. My mom has been here to help out and that has made things easier. Life is still crazy but I'm not sure it will ever not be crazy. My mom has been staying with us. She came when M&M was born and then came back so I could do half days the last week of school. It's been great having her help around the house and with a new born. 

Sunday morning forts. 

MJ held M&M one night so I could get the other kiddos in bed. When I came down the stairs she was singing to her. I hope you can hear it in the video. MJ is a huge helper. Not just with the new born either but with her other siblings too. So grateful for her!

Buddy Boy got mad because I told him not to put stickers on the wall. He put them all over himself and then wanted to decorate the wall. He's a little upset the answer the no. I got him paper to put them on instead and he was content with that solution. 

Yea for grandma cooking yummy brownies. 

Ms M loves M&M! She wants to hold her all the time and play with her. Even if it is with electronics that she could care less about.

Ms M has such a fun personality. Her style of dress shows it all. 

Since I went back to school for awhile the kids got to help feed M&M. They loved it.
