Halloween

Halloween is not my favorite holiday. However, I do love the family time and activities that we do together. Plus, some costumes are really cute and it's fun to watch the kids get excited as they go door to door.

Carving the pumpkins. Always takes longer than I remember and want it too. Although this year we go a drill bit that helps scrap the edges. It's pretty cool!

MJ's school had their annual pumpkin walk. They had a trick or treat with the teachers too. It was kind of crazy. In the gym they showed a movie and since we had it recorded at home I convinced the kids to watch it on the big screen at home.

MJ in front of her owl. It looks purple in this picture.

We felt very loved this year, as we were Boo'd three times. The kids loved Booing others and Buddy insisted on Booing his friend, our neighbors. We recorded it, and it was hilarious to watch, especially since we knew they were not home at the time.

The night of Halloween finally arrived. I'm so glad it was on a Friday this year. I wish it was on a Friday every year.

Ms. M would not let her chocolate milk go. Once she got it she carried it to every house after that.

House decorations. The milk cartons are fun to do!

All of our pumpkins. Lil decorated one at school too. Mine didn't get carved. I was too lazy and didn't care. Use your imagination and turn it into whatever you want. hehe.

It was a great Halloween!

Oct. Happenings

We did a mini photo shoot before church the other day. They turned out okay.

RB and I at one of the Aggie Football games. Date night without the kids since kickoff was at 8pm. We didn't get home till 1am and I'm glad I didn't have to deal with any cranky kids through it all.

Lil and a friend.

RB taught the girls the art of throwing apples through the fence. Yes, I said through the fence, not over the fence. All the kids thought was a hilarious to watch but the older girls were the only ones strong enough to master the trick.

I had a coworker take me to the opening night of the Jazz game. I've never been to a Jazz game and had a lot of fun. She has rockin' good seats too! Too bad the Jazz lost. It was still fun though.

MJ took this picture of the sunset.

Lastly, for Red Ribbon Week one day is crazy hair day. Here is was I put together for the girls. They loved it.

Next up, Halloween.

Fall Break

For fall break we headed to WY. It was a great visit. My brother, who is usually working, was actually off these days. So we got to play games, and hang with him and his wife for these days. It was great. One day we went fishing. Well we tried to fish and ended up playing at the park more than fishing. We waved to the three trains that drove by, and played tag. It was a great afternoon.

Running grandpas shoes is another favorite thing to do. The kids love watching it go from room to room.

We also went down to the park, which led us to the river. We walked along the trails, threw rocks in the river, and enjoyed the beautiful day.

It was a great fall break!
