End of June

Once we got back from vacationing in CA we took a few days to be home, and then we were off again. To grandmothers house we went. While there we went jeeping. We had a good time seeing the beautiful scenery.

Even though Buddy's car seat was buckled in, after we got going he was almost sideways. We had to stop and really tighten the strap which is hard to do with old seat belts. But we got it and he was safe once again.

It wouldn't be a jeeping trip without something breaking. We got up to the top of the "two towers" and this is what we saw. It ended up being a hole in our transmission line that got cut by a fan. Don't ask me who designed an engine with a line going right in front of a fan. Must have been a man, hehe.

I love this picture. One, Ms M is letting her daddy hold her. Amazing, I know. Two, Buddy is not freaking out that Ms M is sitting with him, and she is not freaking out that he is sitting with her. Double amazing, I know.

Buddy is very protective of his cars and planes. He screams every time Ms M comes and tries to play with him. I came in the living room to find him hiding each car under a container in the hopes that sister would not get them. Didn't work, but it was a valiant effort.

Buddy is usually really good. However, he does have his mischievous moments. Including this one with a black sharpie, and a black white board marker.

Bikes and scooters time. It's fun watching Ms M ride a scooter and then Buddy surprised me with how well he did on the big scooter.

Frisbee golf is a family favorite and we were able to go last week. It was cloudy when we left and then it down-poured on us the last four holes. It let up right as we were leaving. It was still fun though. It was a warm day and the rain felt good.

Good times with daddy.

Lastly, we have Sunday naps. It did actually last a good 10-20 min. I was impressed.

Bring on July and all the birthday/holiday fun! It will be epic! :)

Day 4, 5, 6, & 7- CA

Vacation continued onward to our next destination- Anaheim CA. Yes, we went to Disneyland. Here is Buddy ready to go.

Here are two things we always look for while going to CA. The big thermometer, and the crazy exit name, who knows how that is pronounced anyways.

After our long 4 hour drive we get stuck at an intersection waiting for this train. We are less than a mile from our destination, Buddy has to use the restroom, and we are stuck here for a good 10 minutes. It was pretty annoying!

Our hotel was really nice. It seemed snobbish almost. Business people everywhere and you had to pay extra for everything including wifi. The room was nice enough, and the beds were very comfy. The kids got bored waiting for daddy to check in, and so they played trains. The good thing about our location was it was just across the street from a Disneyland parking area for cars. They had a walkway in and so we just walked in to the bus and took it straight in to Disneyland. That saved us from walking to and from Disney everyday.

 Now on to Disneyland fun!
We love the new cars area. The tractor pull (as we called it) is MJ's new favorite ride over the tea cups.

Buddy hugged every character we went too. It was sooo cute! We tried twice to get our pics with McQueen and both times he left and Mator came. Finally on the third time we got it. However, RB and MJ were riding the cars ride so they are not in the picture.

Meeting Mickey and Minnie is always a must. The kids loved it.

Buddy wanted his picture taken on the Mickey bench. Of course his sisters then wanted theirs taken too. I do like how different each picture is. They were creative with how they posed.

The rocket ride. Buddy and RB are the only ones that rode this one. The girls and I both dislike how slanted these ones are. But the boys LOVE it.

RB wanted his picture taken with Captain America in his Captain America shirt. However, once they were in line Buddy had to go potty and they had to leave since I was riding a different ride with Lil.

First day there we are waiting to get into the park and RB points out the guy in front of us. At first I didn't see why (look at their feet)...
Yes, they have on the same shoes AND socks. Too bad the bag has a dumb Y on it!

This faces tells it all for how Ms M felt about every ride we went on. She loved it. She was impatient waiting in line to get on, LOVED the ride, and would scream when we had to get off.

There is always firsts at Disneyland. I had a new one. The car in front of us on Autopia broke down and would not start. The worker had to come and work on the engine to get it to start again.

I love this picture. RB on his second time around the Areal ride.

Any carousel was big hit.

Waiting in line boredom even though our longest wait was only about 40 min.

Waiting for RB and Lil to get done with their ride.

MJ's favorite horse.

We did the Disney Jr. show for Buddy and Ms M. They loved it! They watch Sophia the First, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Doc McStuffins all the time. So to see them in person Buddy and Ms M were almost in awe.

On the Buzz Lightyear ride Ms M (in Buddy's jacket) really only played with the steering. It's pretty difficult to shoot when you are spinning around and around and around. Still fun though.

RB and Lil on Big Thunder Mountain. Watch until you get to Lil's face. Totally worth it!

Ms M is only upset because she couldn't turn the wheel on the tea cups by herself. She loved it otherwise.

The last video is of Lil singing in Spanish. She was so proud of herself for remembering the words.

Didn't get a picture of the new ears at Disneyland so I got one at home.

We had a great time. Buddy loves watching the videos and looking at the pictures of our trip. All the kids had a great time! And yes RB and I did too!
