Pumpkin Carving & Halloween Day

Pumpkin carving is always a fun activity. We all helped in one way or another this year. Everyone got to help get the guts out. MJ was excited too this year whereas Lil wasn't. That was a change. Buddy was cautious but did it, and Ms M LOVED it. She couldn't stop sticking her hands in every pumpkin, and walking through all the guts. She had a blast.

MJ got to try to carve her own pumpkin this year. She did a really good job for how hard her design was! She got around everything and then I went through and poked everything out.

Yes, Ms M is licking the pumpkin.

Next year the girls do not get to pick such hard designs for their pumpkins. They both picked different My Little Pony designs. Lil's is hard to see but it did turn out pretty good. RB did a USU one, and Buddy wanted a train.

Halloween was COLD this year. The kids still had a good time though. We started at 5pm and we were done by 7pm. Just the way I like it.

This is my favorite picture. Ms M is so dang cute. She is so happy with a Kit-Kat in one hand and a sucker in the other!

We did see another fluffy unicorn. Her mom took this picture and shared it with me. Her mom is such a good photographer too!

After trick-or-treating we came home and ate pizza. Then it was time for my favorite part, the Halloween cartoons. We turn out all the lights in the house, lock the doors and head downstairs for some quiet time. We watch the classics with Mickey Mouse. I love it!
 Happy Halloween everyone!

Halloween Carnival #2

My school does a Halloween Carnival every year. We try to go to support our school and see the kids. Once again, our kids had a blast.

Good times! Once again thanks to a wonderful PTA who puts so much into making these activities so great!

Field Trip to the Pupmkin Walk

I was able to go on my first field trip with my kids. I went with Lil to the pumpkin walk and then to a park to play and eat lunch. I was in charge of five kids and we had a great time.

This is for my dad. I hated this show growing up but my dad used to watch Mash every day.

I thought the pumpkin walk started out slow. The exhibits were good but only good. Towards the end we started to get into some really good ones. The kids loved the Despicable Me one. I liked the Dr. Seuss one, and the Pixar. These were really good.

Hop on Pop. (We love this book.)

The Lorax

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (We watch this every year.)

Now the Pixar ones.

Singing in the Rain.

It was a good day! I had so much fun spending it with Lil and all the other first graders!

Halloween Carnival #1

Every year MJ's school does a pumpkin walk. The theme was Disney, heroes, and animals. MJ decided she wanted to do Rapunzel. It turned out okay. We had fun working on it and that is all that matters. It looks better from farther away.

Here is what everybody was this year for Halloween. Fireman, fluffy unicorn, skeleton girl, and Cleopatra. Aunt Chel dressed up as Agnes off Despicable Me that has the fluffy unicorn, and then RB and I were Thing 1 and Thing 2 again.

Here is MJ with her pumpkin at the pumpkin walk and her school carnival.

The kids had a great time at the carnival. They enjoyed the games and even Buddy Boy did most of them.

Buddy did break every line rule, but I don't think anybody cared. He had a great time being a big kid.

It was a great night. We all had a good time with the games! We have some amazing PTA members that volunteer for our schools!
