Vegas Day 2

Day 2 started with shopping at the outlet mall. It was a lot of fun but took longer than we expected. The rest of the day was spent back at the hotel swimming again. You can never go wrong with swimming.

My sister Chel.

This is RB's sister and her husband who came with us. We really enjoy traveling with them.

That night we went to dinner at the Paris Hotel. It was an okay buffet that we probably will never go back too.

Buddy eating roasted duck. He loved it.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped at the Vegas sign to get our pictures. I have never stopped here before and now I will never have to stop again. There was a drunk Elvis there who was creepy and looking for tips off of getting your picture taken with him.

Zions Day 4

On our last day we did not swim. Well not in a pool anyways. On our way home we headed back to Zions for another trail before heading the rest of the way home. No these pictures are not in order.

At the end of the trail, RB and I took Buddy up the next part called the Narrows. We only went up a little ways, but are excited to go back. It was so fun going through the water. Plus it was gorgeous!

Begging squirrel.

While Chel, Lil, and MJ were waiting for us to come back a lady came up to MJ and took a picture of her sitting on the ledge. MJ thought that was the weirdest thing ever. Then on the way back we saw the lady taking a picture of another lady taking a picture on her ipad. MJ goes, "Wow, she really likes pictures of people doesn't she." It was funny.

See the nose?

Buddy's dirty bum.

Saw a snake on the way to the van. Good thing RB didn't see it. He hates snakes!

We had a great vacation! I can't wait to go back to Zions. What a great place to hike and we have barely seen any of it. It was nice to relax and enjoy family!

Zions/Vegas Day 1

For vacation this year we went to Zions National Park and Las Vegas.

We started by driving Kolob Canyon. It was gorgeous.

Then we headed the rest of the way to Zions. Now we have never been to Zions and didn't know what to expect. We were going to go on our hike first and then drive the tunnels. Well the next thing I know, we are driving through the tunnels. The kids loved that. This picture is of one of the window look outs that are inside the tunnel.

We continued driving around Carmel Mountain for awhile before turning around and heading back.

We soon realized that to get to all of the other hike areas you have to take the shuttle up. So we jumped on one and soon found our stop that would take us to the Emerald Pools.

It was an impressive sight. The girls had mixed reactions about hiking. One minute they were loving it, the next minute they were whining because we weren't at the hotel yet to swim. Buddy Boy did great! He hiked the entire way there and back, and he loved it.

After the hike we let the girls get their feet wet in the water. I could only post this picture though because behind Lil is a wonderful lady who has no regard for personal modesty in public.

After our hike we traveled the rest of the way to Las Vegas and immediately went swimming. Yes, the girls loved it.

We ended day one with some toast before bed. What a good long day!

GR Fun & More

Things have been busy even though school is officially over for the school year. The end of the year things were just as fun as they always are. After the last day of school we headed to GR to visit my family and pick up two of my kids that grandpa stole. While we were there we went for a buggy ride of my dads new toy. It seats six people, so with our jeep too, we will all fit and can go jeeping again. That will be a blast. There are some good trails in GR too that RB is excited to go on. Yea!

One night my brother and his wife came over. After a dutch oven dinner we made a fire and roasted marshmallows. Buddy Boy was so cute eating his gigantic marshmallow that grandma bought.

It was a fun trip even though it was a quick one. We had to get back to RB could finish is Math class for his Math endorsement.

Once we got home we found out a stray cat had moved her baby kittens under our shed. Stupid cat. Cute kittens, but stupid cat. So now we are chasing the mother cat out of our yard every time we see her, feeding the cats is not allowed (even though the girls really want too), in hopes that they cats will move on. If not, I know where a hose is. Just saying.

Ms M is getting very vocal. She now screams when she doesn't get what she wants. She can also climb stairs which stinks. She is no longer contained to one room. Even with a barrier, she just goes up and over it, the little stink.

Learn from brother.

Now my turn.

Sad, she was brought back down.

New trick she learned.

Lastly, the kids love to use photo shop off my ipad. I had to post some of the pictures they have taken.

Hope you are having a great day!
