First Day of Summer

The first day of summer has come and gone. The night was awful. Buddy Boy woke up 3 times, and MJ decided she was going to be sick most of the night. After a little cleaning of the house we decided since MJ was feeling better to go jeeping. I'm so glad we did. It was absolutely beautiful!

We almost made it to the top.  However, with the snow we didn't want to chance getting stuck, having to turn around further up if it got worse, or something like going off the edge. So we backed down the mountain until we could turn around.

One valley looking one way.

Turn your head and you can see the other valley.

We had a great time. Good thing I went now because that will probably be my last jeeping trip till after the baby the born. RB can take the girls though. They will love it!

RB's the Big 33 Years

The past two weeks have been super busy.  Last Monday was our school's Fun Run. Tuesday we had our ward clean up. Wednesday was RB's b-day. Thursday we had some friends come eat with us whom we haven't seen in a few months since they moved out of state. Then we luckily had a slow weekend. BBQ with family on Monday for Memorial Day, and now this week has been end of school year fun.

I feel bad RB's b-day was so crazy this year. The girls were so exhausted by the time Wed. came last week that this is how they were at 4pm. We had to wake them for dinner and presents. They weren't too happy about that.

RB didn't ask for much. He got his game Caylus, an i-tunes card, Oreos, a pair of pants, and a pair of shorts. He knew about the pants and shorts because I refuse to buy clothing without him.
This is my favorite picture. He is trying so hard not to smile. While I was wrapping his gifts Buddy Boy was helping me. As I folded the pants and shorts to put in the box he wanted to help. So he grabbed my pj top and shoved it into the box too. RB looked at the shirt and just shook his head in disbelief. It was great.

It wasn't until Sunday that I finally got his b-day cake made. Yes, I know I'm pathetic. He got his double layered chocolate cake though and it was yummy. The girls were even awake so they could sing happy birthday this time which they refused to do on Wed.

If you look closely it is a 33 in sprinkles. I had to get creative with only 6 candles in the house. Happy Birthday RB, we love you!

Monday of this week was Memorial day. After a great family BBQ at RB's home we stopped by the cemetery.  I have no idea why but MJ was dead set on getting her picture taken next to the headstone of her grandparents. She cried when we said we may not stop and get out but just drive by. She was a very happy girl after the picture though. It was a nice and relaxing day after our crazy week last week.

This week has been filled with school activities galore for RB and I. We have been outside every day for almost the entire day. Plus all the end of year paper work, and cleaning of the room we have been busy. Tomorrow is our last day though and we are excited for summer to be here at last! Last night MJ was trying to find a song they sang at school. I was going through i-tunes playing different songs to see if it was it. Buddy Boy had a great time dancing away. I know I turned the camera so you could see MJ too but it's still a good video.

I hope you all have a great summer!

2nd Annual TMC Fun Run

For a fundraiser my school sponsors a fun run. You can run/walk a 1 mile course or run a 5k. Last year and this year we did the 1 mile. Here we are waiting to do our 2nd Annual run (of course Lil didn't want to wear her shirt.)

I actually didn't run/walk it this year. I let RB take the kids and I was stationed at a corner to help out. This was probably the best plan considering my big belly state.

MJ did so good again this year. She ran the entire thing. She saw me and sped up. She was super excited to run the race and wanted to walk at the very end but RB convinced her that just around the corner was the finish line and she did it.

Lil had fun riding. She was supposed to run longer than what she did but she was kicked on accident and that was the end. In the stroller she went. She played with Buddy Boy though and kept him happy.

MJ did stop once for some water when she saw me. It was almost 90 degrees outside when they ran this so she was SOOOO thirsty. But even with the water break they just just over 11 minutes. Way to go family!
It was a good night and since it was Mon. we tied it into FHE with the Word of Wisdom. We even won a USU t-shirt in the raffle drawings. Hopefully next year we will be in better shape/not pregnant and we can do the 5k.

Bikes & Walking

The kids the other day were outside playing. We had about half the neighborhood all riding their bikes around. They made a train to go around the block but never quit made it all the way around. They had fun though and it kept them busy so that is all that matters.

MJ and our neighbor boy traded bikes. He does a better job riding her bike than she does. Funny girl.

The girls decided that putting mustard on your face is the newest face treatment fad. They thought they were super hilarious and were quit upset when I made them wash it off. I'm such a mean mom.

Buddy Boy is finally gaining confidence in his walking ability. He has been able to walk for awhile now, but would only do it when he wanted too or was tricked into it. Not even bribery worked very well. The past couple of days he has decided it is fun to walk and now does it quit often all on his own without being told or encouraged to do it. He even will side step. Last night he walked from the computer chair all the way to the back door where I was and had zero problems. It is very cute and he just thinks it is the bees knees when he walks now.

What a cutey!

True Sisterly Love

Went for a walk this afternoon and witnessed some true sisterly love. Lil was pushing Buddy Boy until they hit some sprinklers. Lil abandoned Buddy Boy, and saved herself. Poor Buddy Boy screamed until he was saved from the freezing cold water.
