Every year we make a trip down south to see the lights at Temple Square. We start by doing some shopping at the mall, and then take the train (MJ's and Lil's favorite part) to the Temple. We read books in Deseret Books and then walk across the street to see the lights. The girls love walking through the visitor centers and they are a good break to get out of the cold for awhile too. The replica of the temple in the one visitors center and the statue of Christ in the other are also favorites. The day was perfect! The breezy was a little too cold, but it was not freezing, and we had a great time!
I love the Christmas season and all the fun traditions we have as a family! Hope your Christmas season is going as well as mine!

Thanksgiving 2011
We traveled the road to WY this year for Thanksgiving to visit my family. It was a good long visit! We saw a movie, took the kids swimming, ate way to much food, played many games, and of course talked. It was so good to see all of my siblings. I wasn't able to see all the husbands or nieces, and nephews but it was still a great visit.
My cute sister with the girls.
MJ with her cousin. They played so well together. Too bad they forgot about Lil at times.
Waiting for dinner to be ready. Not yet!
Trying to get dinner ready.
The boys had plenty of toys to get themselves entertained!
Every time us sisters get together we get a pic. Here is the most recent.
Hope all of your Thanksgivings were as fun and fattening as mine!

Tree Hunting 2011
Before I get into our wonderful Saturday I wanted to post two pics. The first is of Lil looking like a girl even though she never acts like one. The babysitter does such a cute job on their hair every day and I LOVE Lil's hair curled. Too bad I don't have those skills yet. I'm going to learn though and demand my girls let me curl their hair. Ha, yea right. :)
The next pic. is of cute Buddy Boy. He put himself to sleep the other day. It was so cute. Jumping one minute and looking like this the next.
We had a flipping good time on Sat.
(RB and his brother)
We went on our annual tree cutting adventure. It was a BEAUTIFUL day. We were worried about it being cold because of the storm, but luck was with us and the storm came in early and left us with nice weather. It felt like Christmas too with all the snow. The little kids did okay if they followed the trail left by four adults and two older kids. They loved it.
MJ and her cousin.
We had fun hiking around and finding a tree. Then of course we played even more. After hiking up the mountain to find a tree, dragging the tree down the hill, we then took turns climbing the mountain to sled down it.
Poor Lil got cold at the end and sat in the car. However, the rest of us played and enjoyed the snow. We also did not have any Griswold Family mishaps this year. Yea! It was a beautiful fun day and a tradition I'm sure we will continue for many years to come!
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Shadow Chasing/ Losing Teeth
Buddy boy found his shadow this week. It has been so funny watching him race across the floor after his shadow. He ran into the couch even as he tried to get it. I know this video is hard to see but it is so funny watching him.
I love this picture. Yes, I know we are starting him too young. :)
MJ lost her first tooth this week. She wouldn't let me or her dad touch it. However, once she got to school she let her friend pull it out. What a funny girl. Her friend has now pulled out teeth for four other students. MJ was so excited for the tooth fairy to come and bring her something. She heard the Tooth Fairy will bring tooth brushes and paste, and sometimes toys. Well Lil didn't fall asleep until late and then the Tooth Fairy forgot to do it in the middle of the night when they were up with Buddy Boy. So MJ woke up and was very sad. I suggested that maybe the Tooth Fairy was just really busy. She goes, "Yea I heard that the Tooth Fairy has until sun up to get his jobs done." So while they were getting ready downstairs the Tooth Fairy came. MJ got $1, tooth pastes, and a letter. It explained how excited the Tooth Fairy was to come and visit and bring different gifts each time. The Tooth Fairy also apologized for being so late because they were so busy. MJ loved it!
After school that day I was talking to MJ's babysitter (it was her daughter that pulled out MJ's tooth). She was saying that her daughter the night before was saying how she was hoping that MJ got a letter from the Tooth Fairy. I hadn't heard that but I'm glad the Tooth Fairy left one, it made MJ's day. Now the other front tooth is starting to get loose. Here we go again. :)

Halloween 2011
Halloween was a good night. We went around two block and called it good. We had plenty of candy and Bunny Boy was tuckered out.
At home I think MJ had more fun waiting for kids to come and had out the candy. She sat in front of the door for a good 2 hours. She loved it.
I finally carved our pumpkin. The only one who wanted to help was Bunny Boy. He liked it.
Happy Halloween everyone!
