Bubble Gum Attack and New Jeep

MJ's bubble gum attacked her the other day. Don't ask me how it got down the back of her shirt but it did. She was freaking out every time I tried pulling it off her back because it was pulling her hair. So I pulled out the peanut butter and rubbed it around. After rinsing and wiping it off we finally got all the gum off. Hopefully we won't have any more gum attacks.

We also got another jeep. Our white one was having problems and so we are in the process of selling it. Our new gray one is in really good shape and we are excited it take it up the mountain.

Have a great day!

Elite 8 and the Temple

Yesterday RB and I headed back down to SLC to watch the Elite 8. Butler took down Kansas State and it was a good game to watch. Every time we thought Butler was going to take a commanding lead K-State would come back and make it a game. It was once again awesome to watch a great game. We should have taken a picture of us on our phone but we didn't. Oh well.

After we picked up the kids we went to the temple grounds. MJ was so excited and took a million pictures. Most of the ones here were ones she took. It was fun to walk around and talk about why we have temples. We also checked out the new Desert Book across the street and we all got a book. It was a great trip and a pretty relaxing day. We left at the wrong time though. We got stuck in traffic from the Young Women's conference. We weren't in a hurry though so it was good.

I almost forgot to tell you some of the coolest things that happened. RB and I went out to eat before the game started. We got seated, decided what we wanted and still hadn't been helped. This guy comes over and apologized that he didn't know we were in his section. We were cool with it because we had only been there 5-10 min. tops. So anyways, he gives us free chips and salsa to go with our cornbread that they give to everyone. Then he gave us free apple cobbler that was absolutely amazing. I would go back just for the dessert. We felt bad because we really didn't care that he was a little late but he kept giving us free stuff, so we gave him a good tip and felt like things were even. Then after the game we were stuck in the parking garage forever. It took us a good 15 minutes to get to the exit. Right after pulled up the lady said she needed our ticket and we could go. We didn't have to pay! Rock on! They were trying to clear the place out a little because it was so backed up. It made the day that much better. Bye for now.

NCAA Sweet 16

RB and I have had tickets to the NCAA Sweet 16 for months now. On Thursday I took the day off and he took a half day off. We went down to SLC and dropped the kids off at a cousins house. Then we went and watched some of the best games of the tournament this year. The only bad thing was we were sitting clear up in the boonies. Kind of cool looking down on everything but still pretty far away. The first game was Syracuse against Butler. The crowd was split half and half on cheering for the two teams. We were cheering for Butler being the underdog and all and they won. Then came one of the best games on basketball history. Xavier vs. Kansas with double overtime. Most of the crowd was cheering for Xavier but they lost. It was still an awesome game though. Due to the double overtime RB and I did not get home till midnight making for a long day at work on Friday. Today we slept in till 8:30 and are getting ready now for an awesome game of Kansas vs. Butler for the Elite 8. Can't wait!

WAC Conference

RB and I decided we wanted a little vacation. My parents took the girls and we headed to Reno, NV for the WAC tournament this weekend. It was a lot of fun. We had a lot of talking time and relaxing time. We went hot tubing in the hotel, shopping at the various outdoor malls, and ate some great food. The Aggies won on Friday putting us on the finals, but we lost to the NM State Aggies Sat. night.

Here is RB and his mom waiting for Friday nights game to start. After the win we went out to eat at the Circus Circus hotel. They have a Gecko BBQ grill place which is really good food and really good prices. We had a sampler platter with ribs, hot wings, chicken strips, onion rings, and french fries for $18. It was plenty of food too. While we were waiting to eat we were watching ESPN that was on the TV's. Stew Morrel the head coach of USU came on. RB automatically goes "Steeeeewwwww" which is what the crowd does every time Stew is announced. Immediately, five different tables joined in making everyone in the restaurant look around and the waiter guy really confused. It was great and all of us Aggies just laughed and went on with our business as if nothing had happened.

These pictures are of RB's dad. He started dressing up YEARS ago. Yes, he still gets funny looks but we all love it.

It's good to be home, but it was great to get away for awhile as well. Have a great week!

Little Update

Not much has been happening our here lately. Lil has a new passion of coloring. She will sit and color for a good half hour or more before getting tired of it.

She also is very cute when she sleeps. I love it when she's not screaming at me for whatever reason and look how cute her hand is supporting her head. Ahhh, so cute.

My girls are going house crazy. They want to go play at the park so bad but every time MJ asks it is freezing cold outside. So I sent them to the backyard instead. They played for about 20 min. before coming in but that was enough to settle them down. Lil's pants were covered in chalk but they enjoyed being outside and playing. Our poor lawn has some kind of disease, it looks really bad this year.

Grandma and grandpa Boyer came into town this weekend. MJ loved that. On Sat. morning she was so excited when I woke up and told me come and look at the mouse grandpa found. It wasn't in the house though just behind the big glass in the hole. Then when grandpa tapped on the window the mouse took off really fast. Like this, and it went faster than a horse. So here are some pictures of our mouse that runs faster than a horse.

Cute little thing isn't he. Too bad we can't keep him as a pet. Oh well, I don't have time for pets right now anyways. The girls had fun going down and looking at him all morning though. Well that's it for now. I'll update more when more happens. Enjoy the rest of your day!
