Our 3 Day Weekend Events

Before I begin with our 3 day weekend and what went down I had to share this pic. Lil and MJ sometimes have a hard time waking up in the mornings. One morning I got Lil straight out of bed to quickly put the shoes and coat on. I turned around to help MJ and this is how she was when I looked again. Asleep at the foot of the stairs.

This weekend we went to GR to visit my family. My brother was not only sealed to his adopted son but they also blessed him on Sun. It was such a neat experience to see them sealed as a family. A very special moment to be apart of.

GR was a good relaxing weekend. We played games, visited, and eat lots of good food. MJ loved playing match with grandma and seeing her cousins.

Lil had fun playing too but she did a lot of sleeping. She has a cold that is getting the best of her. This is Lil and grandpa watching football.

This pic was good. Lil had gone to bed for the night and my nephew got a headache. Since he wasn't feeling well he laid down in the only quiet room in the house. I had to take a pic of it.

This is the special little one that now has an eternal family. Such a cute and good baby.

We got home late Sun. night to give us a nice relaxing day at home. That is what it has been too.

3 year old jokes

MJ told us some jokes today. I decided to share.

Knock Knock.

Sharing the blanket

MJ has a blanket that she absolutely loves. She takes it everywhere even though half the time she has to leave it in the car, like when we go to the store or to church. Lil is now sleeping in a bed. We have to put up the gate in the hall to keep her from wondering around the house. One night this week Lil fell asleep in front of the gate. (MJ used to do this all the time as well.) I came up to check on the girls and this is what I found.

Lil was covered with MJ's favorite blanket. I carried Lil to bed and there was MJ laying in bed staring at the ceiling. I asked her if she had covered Lil up and her response was, "Lil can have my blanky and I'll use my princess one." I told her that was very nice to take care of her sister like that to make sure she wouldn't get cold. MJ just beamed. It was such a sweet moment to see MJ taking care of Lil and watching out for her little sister.

Sledding and a Sunday

Thanks Jen for taking pics. of sledding. I was a dough head and forgot my camera. We had a blast. MJ's favorite part was going down with Jen and Brooklyn. In fact she only went down the hill once with RB, Lil and I. It was freezing cold and we had a blast. Okay maybe Lil didn't like it so much, but the rest of us did. Here are some pics.





It has been years since I have been sledding and going down with Lydia was a BLAST. She is crazy fun and I felt youthful again. It was great.

Sun. was a momentous day for our family. MJ went to sunbeams and Lil went to nursery. I guess Lil just kind of stood around and watched everyone. It took MJ 8 months to finally smile at some of the workers so this behavior doesn't surprise me. I think Lil will adjust quickly though. MJ was so excited all week to go to sunbeams. Then the day came and I showed her where to sit and she broke down. She was just scared though. I sat with her for awhile and she went to class just fine. Next week will be better I'm sure of it.

New Years Eve

Yesterday we went to the grandparents home to finish opening Christmas gifts since we were in WY this year. The girls loved it. They had 3 Christmas' this year. Here are some pics. of the things they got.

After we went to the Roper house hold. We have some friends that were in town visiting. We haven't seen them in over a year. It was a fun night. We had a ton of goodies to eat, and plenty of laughs with the games we played. We played Mad Gab, Hilarium, Taboo, and Buzz Word. Then we just sat around and talked until the New Year. I admit I fell asleep for about 20 min. during this talk time but I was awake for the New Year. MJ stayed awake the whole time too but little Lil was passed out by 8:30. It was a great night filled with great friends.

Lil was being so cute before bed time. She loves that rocking couch. The kids in the next pic. are eating caramel, chocolate covered pretzels. UMM Good!


Of course there is one problem with all of this. Since Lil went to bed at normal time, now she is up at normal time. Which means I am up and not sleeping in like RB and MJ. Oh well, today we are going to go sledding. I'll hopefully get some pics. Happy New Year!
