FHE FUN!?

Last night we had FHE. It was a blast. We started with a song. MJ would sing a line and then mom and dad would. We'll mom and dad sang too much of a line that MJ wanted to sing and off she stormed up the stairs to her room crying the whole way. RB and I looked at each other with the "what do we do now" look. So I went up and got her. She sat on the bottom stair and cried for awhile until she decided to climb up on the window sill. Great. Until little Lil decided to take the toy container MJ was standing on to get up there. So MJ yells, daddy takes the container away from Lil, MJ is happy, and Lil goes screaming up the stairs to her room. RB was trying to read a very good story through all of this. Then Lil wants the FHE book. Mom says no way because she'll rip it up like the March Friend magazine that is all over the floor. Lil screams, mom puts it away, dad says he's done trying to read.

So he goes on the floor to play with Lil and keep her happy. Mind you MJ is still happily sitting in the window sill not paying attention to anything. So I grab the story and start again. We get through the story about the pioneers being saved by singing a song. We end by sharing our favorite primary songs and singing MJ's favorite "sunbeam." We sang it about 5 times, had popsicles, gave the girls a bath, and sent them to bed.

Homework

Since RB and I have started school after the girls go to bed is homework time. It's a good thing we have a laptop so we both can be doing it at the same time. Two nights ago RB was very dedicated to his work. I had more fun taking a pic. of us working. hehe.



I almost forgot. I had a meeting last night so I missed the fun exciting news myself. MJ decided Lil could go potty. She took her into the bathroom, took off her diaper, and Lil really did go. RB came upstairs and made sure to give Lil a treat for going in the potty. No, we are not potty training but MJ may be!?

The weather has been very sad here. Monday was a BEAUTIFUL day. Look at all the fun we had.

After our beautiful day the weather turned rainy. It rained for 3 days straight and I mean it rained all three days!

She also insisted on going on a walk. So I walked to the corner and back. She loved it.

Until we can in and was not happy at all!

Today luckily is beautiful again. We are going to spend much time outside. Hope you do too!

Easter in WY

For spring/Easter break we headed to WY again. It was great. We played about 7 games a day, eat lots of candy, and sadly still did masters homework.

We put on a great egg hunt around the home for the kids. Lil caught on really fast what to do and had a blast. MJ just wanted to show us every egg she found.

March Visit to WY

My last post had no pictures. I was too lazy to get them off the computer and post them. Today I'm feeling a little more energetic. In March we went to WY because my sister was down for a visit. I only get to see my sister once a year if I'm lucky so I took advantage of the opportunity to see her and her family.

While we were their my brother-in-law brought out his new gun. Yes, they live in WY and yes, he is a hunter fanatic. He recently bought this 50 caliber gun. Now don't ask me what that means because I don't know and to be honest don't really care. It was big and loud! We took it to the shooting range and each got a turn shooting it. (I got to shoot it twice, hehehe.)

Here is me wearing my sisters coat for backfire protection, which surprisingly had very little for such a big gun. Now you may ask, did I hit anything. YES... the ground. No targets though.

So one may ask what it feels like to shoot such a big gun. Heart thumping, adrenaline rushing, and LOUD. If I had zero ear protection I would be deaf right now!!!!! It was fun though. It has been many, many years since I've last shoot a gun at the shooting range. Good times.
