Stroke

Wed. Oct. 14th our families life changed forever. Things will never be the same way. I was at school when my neighbor called and said we needed to get home immediately. Something had happened to my sister and an ambulance was on the way. My sister, the nanny, had had a stroke. Things had happened the last few month that we can now look back and say that was apart of it. But not knowing for sure what had happened at the fair and every test coming back normal meant we didn't know what had happened. Now we can say it was probably a TIA/mini stroke. With everything that happened that day I know the Lord was looking out for us! We had SO many blessings that day! My neighbor was home and not gone running errands, another neighbor went and picked up Lil from school, another neighbor helped my neighbor watch kids since she had 11 all in her backyard, my parents were able to come down immediately and have been here since, and the biggest blessing of all is Chel was not driving when it happened. Another blessing is after two crazy but short weeks at the hospital she was released and was able to come home. She is still in therapy but slowly she is improving. 

My dad parked the car one night when it was dark and rainy. He didn't realize what parking spot he had parked in. We gave him a lot of crap for it though. This is the witch he bought Chel since she loves Halloween so much. 

We are glad she is home again and doing better! Thanks mom and dad for all you have done too! Life would be extra crazy without you guys here to help out!

Some of October

October started out great. Here is MJ's picture she took for reflections. She then wrote a creative story that went with it for the theme "Let Your Imagination Fly." I don't care if she wins or not. I'm glad she participated. When Lil's comes back I will have to get a picture of it too. She drew a picture of a Fox Seal and explained how her imagination helped her create it. 

General Conference was great. We had good times lounging around the home watching the prophet and apostles speak to us.

Lil's school did a run-a-thon. They ran around this area and marked the laps they ran. I wish it was for families to run too. I did end up running some with her even if I wasn't supposed too. She ran 9 laps. Eight was one mile and she ran almost the entire way. 

Aunt Amber and Uncle James also took MJ and Lil for a weekend. THEY LOVED IT! They had so much fun watching movies and hanging out with their aunt and uncle. 

For fall break we were also able to take a mini 24 hour vacation. I will post more about that later. However, when we got home we had some tired kids. We were watching TV and I had Ms M asleep on my leg and Jellybean asleep in my arms. Good times!

RB has been able to take some of the kids to Aggie games. MJ and Buddy love to go. My sister-in-law posted this on Facebook and I stole it. Great screen shot of Captain Aggie at an awesome game that we won!
