Bowl on the Foot

After we put Lil and MJ to bed tonight RB and I were laying in bed talking about our day and the week to come. Lil comes in sliding one foot in a bowl across the room. She was in her own little world about it too. RB goes, "Lil there is a bowl on your foot." Lil goes, "Yea, I know. That is why I can't sleep." RB and I busted up laughing. RB goes, "Why don't you take your foot out of the bowl?" She continued to tell us how the bowl was bugging her and making it so she couldn't sleep. Too funny!

Go Aggies and Other Things

Just so you all know this is what happens when a five year old asks if she can take pictures with the camera...


One of the best Happy Meal toys we have gotten is of a helicopter when you pull the tail the choppers come flying off. I say this because RB has it down to an art of how hard to pull the tail to get the choppers to go so high or so far. Outside he will launch it and then the girls run and try to catch it. Well we play that game inside too. RB will launch the coppers and as it bounces off the walls we try to catch them before it hits the ground. A couple of weeks ago for FHE RB was doing this and it hit our light fixture. Glass shattered everywhere. The girls were really good to freeze and stay where they were while RB picked up the big chunks of glass and then vacuumed a safe path for them to walk on. Needless to say we may have to be more careful while playing our game.




For those of you who don't know we are huge Aggie fans. We were able to go to two home games this season. Lasts nights game against ID was great. The girls really like the games too and were super excited about going again.

1st game doing the Aggie cheer and Lil is watching a movie on the ipod. The second game I brought some books and coloring to help entertain. They still cheered though and had fun watching.

The thing that the girls like watching the best is the Aggie Bull. Whenever they see him they sit and stare to see what he is going to do next. The girls even love their Aggie shirts and we all matched as a family. We went out to eat again and MJ even saw her student teacher that has been in there classroom for the last 6 weeks. I think MJ smiled bigger after seeing her than she was to go to the game. It was cute. We watched all the seniors get their awards and then watched the Aggies cut down the net since they won the regular season WAC title. Go Aggies! The only bad thing is after the game we realized Lil was getting a fever and so today RB stayed home with the girls from church. Besides that things are going well!

Sunday Fun

I really do love 9am church. I know it is early getting up and getting ready, but it is so worth it. Seventy-five percent of the time I get up at 7am with the girls and together we get ready. By the time we are all ready to go RB is back from his meetings and we head up to the church to make sure chairs are set up for primary. After church we eat a snack/lunch and then lay down my the heater. I usually fall asleep there on the floor while Lil later goes up stairs for a nap. Sometimes RB will lay down and MJ will play quietly if she doesn't lay down. After nap it is time for playing games, reading stories, and eventually dinner. The best part about Sundays is the treat we make. Brownies or cookies are always easy, but sometimes we have peach (originally apply) crisp, or other yummy things like that. It truly is a day of rest for our family and day we all love. If we don't stay home then we go to RB's parents home for dinner and then to a friends home for games. Either way it is a relaxing day!

Today at church the High Councilmen talked about finding happiness in our lives. It was good as they talked about the differences between happiness and pleasure. Also, choosing to be angry or happy in different situations. It was a good reminder that the choices we make each day can bring happiness to our lives or consequences that may not make us so happy. This is my goal this week to chose to be happy. Although tomorrow that won't be a problem as it is a holiday and day off, I'll be very happy! Jan. Fun in the Snow

Jan. has been full of fun in the snow. Having two little shovels has been well worth the cost of $10. The girls (especially MJ) has loved helping daddy shovel. Before church the other day I got video of the girls before daddy made it out there.




We also built up our snow hill, again. Even though it has since been melted again by the rain. However, with a new storm coming in I'm sure we'll get it built up, again. We baby-sat for some friends and while the two littlest ones slept the older ones went outside to play. They had a blast and came in soaked through all their snow clothes.




Yesterday for family night we went hot tubing at Crystal Springs. It was not our best visit for sure. One, the water was luke warm, and it was very crowded. The girls still had a blast swimming though and RB enjoyed the hotter spas. It was worth going and hopefully the next time we go the water will be back to normal warmer temperatures.

Another Dr. Appt.

Today I had another doctor appointment. The doctor was really busy this afternoon and as a result I had to wait for over an hour to see the doctor. I was okay with this but my poor daughters got a little antsy toward the end. The good thing is since I did have to wait so long I was the last one to be there for the day. The doctor was able to explain more about the heart by showing it to me on his own little ultrasound machine. He explained that they could see the muscles in the heart that they were concerned about. He also showed me the white spot that they were looking at. Because of that spot there is a slight increase of a chance that the baby will have downs syndrome. He said that unless I really wanted to I would not need to get my last ultrasound check. After listening to what he had to say and explain about the heart I really do not want to have to take another day off for another ultrasound. Also, like the doctor pointed out unless we were going to do something about it, like termination, then it is not going to change anything by getting this last ultrasound. We still feel good about the pregnancy and know that no matter what the Lord loves us and is looking out for us.
