Little Rat has decided that one thumb, finger, or fist is not good enough. He is now double fisting it!


I had to take a pic. of him in this cute outfit. MJ said, "He looks dashing in that outfit." :) Earlier in the same day she said another word and asked what it meant. I explained it to her and she said something like, "Oh, that's why in that movie they use that word." It might have been despicable, but I was thinking it was off of the movie Tangled. I can't remember. She is using quite the word choice words though, that is for sure.


This is what happens when little girls get out of bed, come down stairs, and are ignored.


They fall asleep standing up. Silly girl.

We are getting more and more excited for the opening of the Brigham City Temple. Here is an updated photo as we drove by the other day.

RB is Really Not an Old Man

This post is dedicated to my hubby, RB. First I hope RB had a good Father's Day. All he wanted were some Butterfingers'. Luckily, the bite sized bags were on sale that week. Unluckily, they were sold out by time I got there. So I bought him the big ones instead. Us girls each wrote him notes and attached a Butterfingers to it. Then we hid them throughout the house and after church he had to find them with hot and cold clues. I think Lil had the most fun!


The second to last week of school RB was doing the long jump with the 4th and 5th graders. On his last jump he fell backwards landing on his tailbone. It is not broken but he bruised it pretty badly. For four weeks he has only been able to lay down or stand. This week he has been able to sit for short times before having to stand again. He was just getting to the point where he was mobile again when the next incident occurred.

Yesterday, RB was helping a friend re-shingle his roof. He climbed down the ladder, took two steps, and sprained his ankle. He sprained it good too. As you can tell from the pictures it is black and blue. Today it looks worse even though the swelling is not as bad. So now RB is down and out again.






So no, RB is not an old man. However, you may start wondering if he keeps this up. We were able to go play Frisbee Golf on Friday and that was a blast. Glad we got one round in before he got hurt again. We love you RB and hurt or not hurt we still appreciate all you do for this family!

How to Build a Bathroom/Laundry Room in THREE Days

Day 1

Step 1: Take everything out of the room, including electrical covers.


Step 2: Sweep up all the dirt, cobwebs, and other unknown whatever on the ground.


Step 3: Take before pics. to be compared to the after pics.




Day 2

Step 4: Finish the Sheetrock.

Step 5: Measure, cut, and screw in Sheetrock all around the room.


Step 6: Mud all the cracks, and screws.


Step 7: Paint


Day 3

Step 23: Put on second coat of paint.

Step 81: Sweep and mop the floor.

Step 55: Tile the floor.


Step whatever I'm on: Take a break with the baby. :)


Step The Second to Last One: Put everything back into the room and take post pics.




Step The Last One: Thank the people who helped you. Thanks mom and dad. It was a long three days but completely worth it. Now it is done and we are loving the room! Thanks and love you tons!

We are very happy that it is finally Summer. Here is a pic. of MJ on the last day of school. She is really starting to get into fashion and sometimes it works out better than other outfits. It's the same with her hair. She likes to style it and some days her hair looks better than others. I won't tell you if she or I did her hair in this pic. though. MJ loves school but says she likes to stay home too and so she's happy for summer.

Memorial Weekend and More

We went to visit my family over Memorial Weekend. Of course it was cold and it even snowed. What's up with that? Since it was cold we were not able to go outside and make a fire. So we roasted marshmallows, cinnamon bears, and Starbursts over the stove instead. It was fun to see my sister and her family too. They live three hours in the other direction from my parents home and so we have to plan when we will both be there to visit.







Since my mom was still staying with us till the school year ended we all went in her vehicle. Thanks again mom for staying with us so I didn't have to worry about a babysitter for three weeks! Love you tons!

Lastly, here is a cute video of Little Rat. He has the hiccups and was making the cutest little sighs after each one. Glad we were able to catch it on video.


School is out now and we are all very excited for our first day of summer break. The girls are outside enjoying the mildly cool morning after they went for a short jog with me. My summer goals are to 1) feed my shredder old papers, 2) do some major scrapbooking, 3) finish our bathroom in the laundry room, and 4) stain the fence and the play set.
