Vacation Day 1 & 2

Vacation started this summer on the 4th of July. We drove to my sisters home and spend the night celebrating with our own small fireworks and playing on the e-switch. 

Day 2

We did a lot of driving this day. We drove all the way to Missouri. Now if you want to make time go by SLOW when driving through Iowa, all you have to do is watch the mile markers go by as they count every 2 tenths of a mile. Ugh!

One of the best parts of traveling is all the yummy new places you get to try and eat. 

Nebraska has some really cool bridges. We would get excited to see a bridge knowing it would not disappoint with the art that would be with it. We didn't get bored with the corn fields like everyone said we would. We thought they were cool and it was better than WY's sagebrush. 

We stopped at the Omaha, NE temple. We did not do the temple visitors center but if we ever head that way again, we will. The temple was small but still beautiful! 

 Our next stop was Missouri. We stopped at Adam-ondi-ahman. What a pretty area! It was cool to think that Joseph Smith had ridden his horse in that very area. 

After we found a hotel and called it a night! Yes, with some yummy BBQ.

Beginning of July Birthdays

First, the Em-A-Nator loves to help. She helped hang daddy's pants on hangers. I love how she did them. :) 

Well another birthday for me has come and gone. RB took me shopping, and then we set off fireworks with some friends that night. It was a great day! 

Lil's b-day was a double b-day. Since we are going to be on vacation for MJ's b-day Lil agreed MJ could open her presents after she opened hers. So we had a double present opening. MJ did have to wait for her b-day cake though. 

The kids have wanted roller blades forever! They finally got to try them out. I fell! Yep, I'm that good. RB was amazing. The kids could not believe how fast he was on his. He could even go backwards. They forget that he grew up on roller blades and roller bladed all the time as a kid. They are getting better and better every time they put them on. 

That night we went into Logan for our annual fireworks show. This year was COLD. I'm glad I brought jackets for everyone because they were needed. We had a great time with family! 

June

June has come and gone. Boy was it a whirlwind too. The good thing is I was at least at home and not at school most days. That makes me happy! So lets begin. 

Our wonderful neighbors are moving. This brings much sadness to our family! Yesterday was a good day though. The kids started with a bike ride together. Then we were able to go to their new home and see it. They have a park nearby that Lil got her foot caught in. Good thing I showed up to help her. :) After we got home from their new home we had a dinner and games together. It was a good day spent with them before they move. 

Our garden had baby preying mantises. I've never seen a baby one before. They are cute. 

This child of mine sleeps in very weird positions. As long as she sleeps I guess. Her sister in the next room heard me taking pics and demanded I take one of her too. 

The two littles and I were able to go to a Mary Poppins ballet. One of my students performed in it and Ms M really wants to learn ballet so I thought it was perfect. Well, parking was a nightmare, and then they did well for the first half. The second half was a different story. They were finished and just wanted to play. That was hard. But we all got dolled up and had a good evening.  

MJ and RB went to girls camp for a few days. They had a great time! 

The kids had a few more track meets. During the last one of the season they gave out ribbons for each heat. The kids have improved so much! I'm sure the younger two will do it next year, and we will see how the older two. :) I'm glad they older two stuck it out. They did their best and had a good time.   

RB took Buddy Boy to the air show. They were gone longer than expected so they could watch The Thunderbirds. Buddy Boy LOVED every minute of it. He liked climbing into the planes, watching the ring of fire, and going out to eat. I'm glad my boys had fun! 

These two are so cute. They are the best of friends and worst of enemies with each other. I love when they are best friends. They dance, they play, and they are in their own world together. I love it! 

RB made homemade pizzas on his grill. They were yummy! 

While MJ and RB were at girls camp my brother came to visit. The one day they were here we went to Lagoon. We had a great day. Cannibal was amazing! I mean AMAZING! It was such a fun ride. Buddy Boy didn't ride on some of the rides but he really likes Colossus, Musik Express, and Double Thunder Raceway. Lil liked Spider and Cliffhanger, but hated Wicked. We had a great day though.  

Lil had stake activity days. They made these frames. I love my unique daughter. She makes me smile every day! 

Buddy Boy took tennis lessons for the first time. His best friend took them too. He really liked it and did really well. 

Now onto July with birthdays, holidays, and a big vacation! :)
