July

 July was sports and birthday month. 

Autoliv did these really cool STEM activities each week with the kids. Some obviously were cooler than others, but overall, the kids LOVED them. The bow and arrows didn't really work and broke easily. The water balloon one and growing ice crystals was their favorites. The salt and pepper static electricity and lava lamp ones were pretty cool too.

Parks two soccer mates would come about once a week to hang while parents and grandparents had to work. We LOVED having them come and play. They buried a dead something and had a funeral service. We also went to Willard Bay and played in the water one day. 

RB went to boys camp in July. He called me and told me he dislocated his finger while jumping off a rope swing. His body weight took his body down and his finger stayed on the rope knot. Ouch! His whole hand was swollen for a few weeks. 

We tried to mountain bike as often as we could and would take whomever was willing to come. We are trying to get our kids active and healthy in a sport they can do on their own. I think it is working. They all seem to enjoy it when they are out and about. Just not when they crash. Poor Mols!

I was able to do my Spudman Tri again this year. My coworker and I went together and we talked all the way there and back about life. It was very therapeutic. Next year we want to do a team with her swimming, RB biking, and me running. Should be fun!

I also ran in a city race with my morning workout girls. I ran my fastest splits in a long time. We had a good time! 

Of course we did the whole fireworks with family thing for the 3rd and the 24th. 

We also did a day at the beach with the fam. 

Mols turned 9. She had her whole soccer team over to play games and more games.

So Parks team did this soccer tourney called "Under the Lights". That means the games are played late at night. Not a problem if you live close or have a place to stay. But when you have to drive 1 1/2 hrs to get home it can cause some pretty late nights. We got home at 2am one night. The bad thing was this was during RBs boy camp. The good thing was we have another driver in the family who needed night hours. Yep, she got a lot of night hour driving which was really good. We took it slow, ate snacks, and made it safely every day. The other good thing is they won and RB was able to come to the last game since he got back from camp. Yeah! 

Mols team did a tourney too. They did not do so well, but it was closer to home and day games. Plus the water park was a bonus for the siblings. 

Mayo turned sweet 16. She had her friends come to the beach this year. They had a blast! 

Here are the 3rds pics along with Lil's 14th b-day. She has finally caught up to her age. :) It took awhile since she went into Young Women's at age 11. She was the first year to get to do that. It made her seem older than she was. She is a beautiful young woman! 

My 39th b-day too. I love my new garden decorations!
