Oh Christmas Tree

Oct. has ended and Nov. is well on it's way. Nothing much has happened but here is a little update before the annual tree hunting adventure. 

Here is Buddy Boy all dressed up fancy for church. He never does play along for the camera. 

 

This is Buddy riding a stuffed lamb at the grandparents home. He loves to ride it. 

 We did get one snow storm so far this year. While other parts got dumped on, we had snow for about half a day. Luckily it was a Sat. and the kids took advantage of it. Buddy is just so dang cute.

MJ did great in her 2nd grade program. I know this pic is blurry but RB did his best with a dumb camera. MJ is the last one in the row with a purple hat and a pink shirt on. She did so good! I'm glad RB got video so I could hear some of it too since he took the afternoon off to see it. 

Now on to our annual tree hunting adventure. This year was actually pretty uneventful, thankfully. Ms M stayed with the grandparents and everybody else went. RB's brother and his two kids went again, and his little sister and her husband were able to come this year as well. It was a ton of fun. We had just the right amount of snow and the weather was perfect. Not hot and not cold. Perfect.

MJ pulled Lil for about 10 min. at the beginning of the hunt. I took over for awhile and then Lil just had to toughen up and walk on her own. 

I think the only ones missing from the picture is one dog and me.

Buddy did so good. He loved the pack until we got him out. Then he didn't want to get back in it, understandably. He hardly fussed at all, even in the car. It was very nice to have a happy Buddy!

We found the tree and RB let me cut it down. I was giving him a hard time with how long it took to find the tree, but it took me just as long to cut it down.

One of the best parts about having snow is sledding after finding the trees. The kids had fun sledding before we left, while we got ready to go. After we got back, the kids went a couple of times and called it quits. That left the sledding to us adults. We had a good time racing. I didn't get video of it but my sister-in-law went down/tried to go down with her dogs. It was HILARIOUS! The one dog was freaking out trying to get off, then the other dog came running by and jumped on. Good thing her hubby got it on video. It was awesome!

Overall, the day was great. Found a tree, went sledding, watched the Aggies become WAC champs in football, and listened to the Aggies win in basketball.
